Bifacial passivation on both electron transport materials and perovskite light-absorbing layers as a straightforward technique is used for gaining efficient and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs). To develop this strategy, organic molecules containing multiple functional groups can maximize the effect of defect suppression. Based on this, we introduce -(2-acetamido)-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid (ACES) at the interface between tin oxide (SnO) and perovskite. The synergistic effect of multiple functional groups in ACES, including amino, carbonyl (C═O), and sulfonic acid (S═O) groups, promotes charge extraction of SnO and provides an improved energy level alignment for charge transfer. Furthermore, S═O in ACES effectively passivates the defects of uncoordinated Pb in perovskite films, resulting in enhanced crystallinity and decreased nonradiative recombination at the buried interface. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of related PSCs increases from 20.21% to 22.65% with reduced - hysteresis after interface modification with ACES. Notably, upon being stored at a low relative humidity of 40 ± 5% over 2000 h and high relative humidity of 80 ± 5% over 1000 h, the unencapsulated ACES-modified device retains up to 90% and 80% of their initial PCE, respectively. This study deepens defect passivation engineering on the buried interface of perovskites for realizing efficient and stable solar cells.

This study quantitatively evaluated the adsorption performance of natural bentonite for removing three dye classes-cationic (Basic dye: BEZACRYL RED GRL), anionic (Reactive dye: AVITERA LIGHT RED SE), and non-ionic (Disperse dye: BEMACRON BLUE HP3R) from synthetic textile wastewater. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted under varying conditions of contact time (15-90 min), adsorbent dosage (20-60 g L⁻), pH (4 and 12), and temperature (25-100 °C), with dye concentrations quantified by UV-Vis spectroscopy. At a contact time of 30 min and room temperature (25 °C), maximum removal efficiencies reached 99.

Li-metal batteries promise ultrahigh energy density, but their application is limited by Li-dendrite growth. Theoretically, fluorine-containing anions such as bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (FSI) in electrolytes can be reduced to form LiF-rich solid-electrolyte interphases (SEIs) with high Young's modulus and ionic conductivity that can suppress dendrites. However, the anions migrate toward the cathode during the charging process, accompanied by a decrease in the concentration of interfacial anions near the anode surface.

Heterojunctions have garnered significant attention in the field of photocatalysis due to their exceptional ability to facilitate the separation of photogenerated charge carriers and their high efficiency in hydrogen reaction. However, their overall photocatalytic performance is often constrained by electron transport rates and suboptimal hydrogen adsorption/desorption kinetics. To address these challenges, this study develops a g-CN/MoS@MoC dual-effect synergistic solid-state Z-type heterojunction, synthesized through the in-situ sulfurization of MoC combined with ultrasonic self-assembly technique.

Li/CF primary batteries are renowned for their exceptional energy density, yet their practical deployment is hindered by the inherently sluggish kinetics of the CF cathode. This study addresses this limitation by incorporating selenium (Se) into CF (denoted as CF/Se) via a facile low-temperature thermal treatment, significantly enhancing its electrochemical performance. Comprehensive spectroscopic and electrochemical analyses reveal that Se doping induces the formation of CSe bonds, which promote semi-ionic CF bonding, thereby accelerating Li diffusion and reducing charge transfer resistance.
