One-fifth of adults who receive a total knee replacement (TKR) go on to develop chronic pain. The behavioural approach taken to find a solution to pain may vary from assimilative (pursuit of analgesia) to accommodative (acceptance of pain insolubility and adoption of alternative goals). A total of 313 patients participated in a trial of an enhanced care pathway for TKR reported pain at 3 months after surgery.

Investigating the spatial effects of population mobility on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) epidemics provides valuable insights for effective disease control. Data on the incidence and prevalence of HIV and socioeconomic factors from 2013 to 2022 across 31 provinces in China were collected. The Baidu migration index was employed to construct inter-provincial population migration matrices for spatial lag models to evaluate spatial spill-overs and influx risks associated with HIV epidemics macroscopically.

Background: Population pharmacokinetic models can potentially provide suggestions for an initial dose and the magnitude of dose adjustment during therapeutic drug monitoring procedures of imatinib. Several population pharmacokinetic models for imatinib have been developed over the last two decades. However, their predictive performance is still unknown when extrapolated to different populations, especially children.
