In this work, a solar-blind UV metal-semiconductor Schottky photodiode array is constructed by using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition grown ε-GaO thin film, possessing high-performance and self-powered characteristics, toward dual-mode (self-powered and biased modes) binary light communication. For the array unit, the responsivity, specific detectivity, and external quantum efficiency are 30.8 A/W/6.3 × 10 A/W, 1.51 × 10%/30.9%, 1.28 × 10/5.4 × 10 Jones for biased (-10 V)/self-powered operation. The rise and decay time are 0.19 and 7.96 ms at biased modes, respectively, suggesting an ability to trace fast light signal. As an array, the deviation of photocurrent is only 4.3%, highlighting the importance of accurate information communication. Through certain definition of "1/0" binary digital information, the "NY" and "IC" characters are communicated to illustrate the self-powered and biased modes by right of ASCII codes, based on the prepared ε-GaO solar-blind UV Schottky photodiode array. This work made dual-mode binary deep-UV light communication come true and may well guide the development of UV optoelectronics.

Neural operators have emerged as powerful surrogates for modeling complex physical problems. However, they suffer from spectral bias making them oblivious to high-frequency modes, which are present in multiscale physical systems. Therefore, they tend to produce over-smoothed solutions, which is particularly problematic in modeling turbulence and for systems with intricate patterns and sharp gradients such as multi-phase flow systems.

Aims: The study aims to evaluate the effects of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation (ExCR) on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in people with heart failure preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF).
Methods: This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis. Six bibliographic databases (Medline, Embase, Web of Science, Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Cochrane CENTRAL and China National Knowledge Infrastructure database) were searched to April 2024 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs), involving adults with HFpEF undertaking ExCR compared with no exercise control.

Human action recognition (HAR) is crucial for the development of efficient computer vision, where bioinspired neuromorphic perception visual systems have emerged as a vital solution to address transmission bottlenecks across sensor-processor interfaces. However, the absence of interactions among versatile biomimicking functionalities within a single device, which was developed for specific vision tasks, restricts the computational capacity, practicality, and scalability of in-sensor vision computing. Here, we propose a bioinspired vision sensor composed of a GaN/AlN-based ultrathin quantum-disks-in-nanowires (QD-NWs) array to mimic not only Parvo cells for high-contrast vision and Magno cells for dynamic vision in the human retina but also the synergistic activity between the two cells for in-sensor vision computing.
