Green extractive methods accompanied by resource conservation through process optimization are important in working towards sustainable processes. In the present paper, rutin was extracted from the leaf of female Linn using microwave-assisted extraction (MAE), ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), sequential microwave ultrasound-assisted extraction (MUAE), and sequential ultrasound microwave-assisted extraction (UMAE) methods. Subsequently, the effect of extraction parameters on rutin yield were analyzed and compared. In addition, the extraction efficiency and energy consumption of the extraction processes were measured and discussed. In the present study, solid-liquid (S/L) ratio was determined to be the most significant extraction variable. Under optimized conditions, MUAE and UMAE were determined to yield the highest amount of rutin extracted at 18.46 ± 0.64 mg/g and 18.43 ± 0.81 mg/g, respectively. However, MUAE was determined to be the least resource efficient method as it consumed the highest amount of energy due to its relatively long extraction time. UAE was determined to be the most efficient in resource utilization as it required the least amount of energy for every mg/g of yield extracted, while the yield obtained was, nonetheless, comparatively high. The optimal condition obtained for UAE was 20 min of ultrasonic extraction time (T), 20 % of ethanol mixture concentration (C), 710 μm of particle size (S), and 1:650 wt/wt of solid-liquid (S/L) ratio (R).

Background: This study aimed to develop gluten-free bread from chickpea flour by incorporation of varying levels (0 (B-C), 2.5 (B-1), 5 (B-2), and 10 g kg (B-3)) of madımak leaf powder (MLP), and to investigate its effect on physicochemical and bioactive properties, glycemic index, texture, and sensory attributes.
Results: Moisture ranged from 229 (B-3) to 244 g kg (control), while ash content increased with MLP, reaching 47 g kg in B-3 compared to 15.

Objective: This study investigated the locations of amino acid modifications within two major human hair keratins (Type I K31 and Type II K85) with probable implications for protein and hair structural component integrity. The particular focus was on cysteine modifications that disrupt intra-protein and inter-protein disulphide bonds.
Methods: Human hair was exposed to accelerated, sequential heat or UV treatments, simulating effects resulting from the use of heated styling tools and environmental exposure over a time frame approximating one year.

Ionic liquids (ILs) are a class of organic salts with melting points below 100°C. Owing to their unique chemical and physical properties, they are used as solvents and catalysts in various chemical transformations, progressively replacing common volatile organic solvents (VOCs) in green synthetic applications. However, their intrinsic ionic nature can restrict the use of mass spectrometric techniques to monitor the time progress of a reaction occurring in an IL medium, thus preventing one from following the formation of the reaction products or intercepting the reaction intermediates.

Introduction: We compared and measured alignment between the Health Level Seven (HL7) Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard used by electronic health records (EHRs), the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) standards used by industry, and the Uniform Data Set (UDS) used by the Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs).
Methods: The ADRC UDS, consisting of 5959 data elements across eleven packets, was mapped to FHIR and CDISC standards by two independent mappers, with discrepancies adjudicated by experts.
Results: Forty-five percent of the 5959 UDS data elements mapped to the FHIR standard, indicating possible electronic obtainment from EHRs.

Background And Aims: Several observational studies have reported inconsistent associations between dyslipidaemia, stains use and atopic dermatitis (AD). Nevertheless, the available data on the effects of -C-lowering as well as TG-lowering drugs remain inconclusive and limited. The aim of this study was to evaluate the causal association of lipid traits and long-term use of lipid-lowering drugs on AD risk.
