The Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE), despite its name, does not facilitate multistate pharmacy practice, instead requiring pharmacists to pass separate, state-specific law examinations-a process that is increasingly seen as outdated and inefficient. The proposed Uniform MPJE, targeted to launch in 2026, aims to standardize pharmacy law testing nationwide. This article examines the rationale behind the MPJE, questioning the necessity of any pharmacy law examination in an era of technological advancement, evolving regulatory models, and interprofessional parity.

Host immune elimination largely limits the application of oncolytic viruses in clinics. Here, we rationally design a bioactive platelet-based oncolytic adenovirus delivery system. Upon loading adenoviruses, platelets are transformed to a pro-endocytosis status, which facilitates their internalization by circulating tumor cells (CTCs).

The use of metabolic selection markers has advanced stable cell line generation, increasing productivity while simultaneously eliminating the need for antibiotic reagents. This study explores the potential of bacterially derived glutamine synthetases (GS) as a novel generation of metabolic selection markers to further enhance CHO cell culture performance. GS-I proteins were extracted from the genomes of enterobacterial and actinomycetes species.

In many model organisms, the circadian system has been proposed to comprise multiple oscillators that interact to promote accuracy of the clock as well as intricacies of rhythmic outputs. In Neurospora crassa, the circadian transcriptional/translational loop comprising of the FRQ (Frequency) and WCC (White Collar Complex) proteins has been instrumental in explaining many attributes of the clock including entrainment and rhythms in development and gene expression; in addition, some non-circadian oscillations can be unmasked when the FRQ-WCC feedback loop is eliminated. These rhythms have often lost defining circadian characteristics and are potentially controlled by other oscillators, termed FRQ-less oscillators (FLOs) in Neurospora.

Background And Aims: Polyneuropathy is highly prevalent among kidney transplant recipients (KTR), underscoring the need for an accurate yet easy-to-perform diagnostic method to improve understanding and enable early identification of treatable cases.
Methods: This study included KTR at least 12 months post-transplant at the University Medical Centre Groningen, the Netherlands. An expert panel assessed polyneuropathy through a structured neurological examination, quantitative sensory testing, and nerve conduction studies.
