Developmental anomalies of internal carotid artery (ICA), being rare entities, are mostly asymptomatic by themselves because of good collateral supply. However, when present with other associated intracranial anomalies requiring treatment, there can be catastrophic consequences, if special attention is not paid to this condition. We present a case of 36 years old male, who reported to our emergency department with complaints of headache and loss of consciousness. He was diagnosed as a case of ruptured anterior communicating aneurysm with subarachnoid hemorrhage and agenesis of left ICA with trans-cavernous anastomosis. He underwent clipping of aneurysm and was discharged uneventfully. This report highlights the importance of skillful microsurgical clipping in extremely high-risk conditions, in contemporary era of hybrid neurosurgeons.

Background: Pediatric acute ischemic stroke is a rare yet severe condition with multifactorial etiology, often associated with vasculopathies. Endovascular intervention in children with focal cerebral arteriopathy is seldom reported.
Purpose: Our aim was to report feasibility of intracranial rescue stenting for the management of pediatric focal cerebral arteriopathy with flow-limiting stenosis.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) and vascular dementia (VaD) have distinct pathognomonic features, but they frequently co-occur as mixed dementia (MD) in elderly adults. This study aimed to develop a novel MD mouse model using bilateral carotid artery stenosis (BCAS) in 5 times familial Alzheimer's disease (5xFAD) transgenic mice and characterize its behavioral and histological features.
Methods: Thirteen C57BL/6 and sixteen 5xFAD transgenic mice were prepared.

Chronic cerebral artery occlusion is an important cause of cerebral ischemic events. Endovascular recanalization is an effective treatment for this condition, but its success depends on appropriate patient selection and assessment. This is a retrospective study that collected patients with chronic cerebral artery occlusion who underwent endovascular recanalization to determine how imaging features from computed tomography angiography - including the extent of internal carotid artery occlusion, the number of calcified vessels, and the degree of calcification in the occluded vessels - affect the success rate of recanalization.

Rationale: Systemic sclerosis (SS) is an immune-mediated connective disease characterized by skin fibrosis, microvascular damage, and multisystem manifestations. One of the most important processes in connective tissue disorders is vasculitis. The clinical findings can differ when the disease is presented with an antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody.

Background: Despite successful mechanical thrombectomy (MT), approximately 50% of patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke experience poor outcomes due to reperfusion injury. Intra-arterial infusion of human serum albumin (HSA) may offer neuroprotective benefits; however, its safety and feasibility have not been established when delivered via the internal carotid artery. In this study we aimed to evaluate the safety and technical feasibility of HSA infusion through the guiding catheter placed during MT in patients with anterior circulation LVO stroke following successful reperfusion.
