Background: Existing research fails to address the complex nature of nonspecific chronic lower back pain (cLBP ) despite its detrimental effect on economic, societal, and medical expenditures.

Objectives: We developed a nurse-led, mobile-delivered self-management intervention-Problem-Solving Pain to Enhance Living Well (PROPEL-M)-and evaluated its usability, feasibility, and initial efficacy for South Korean adults with nonspecific cLBP.

Methods: This study was composed of two phases: (a) lab and field usability testing for a gamified mobile device application; and (b) a pilot study employing a one-arm pre-test and post-test design among adults aged 18-60 years with nonspecific cLBP.

High Performance Sulfide Solid-State Battery Electrolytes Regulation Mechanism: A Review.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

September 2025

College of Chemistry and Materials Engineering, Wenzhou University, Wenzhou, 325035, China.

Sulfide solid electrolytes (SEs) exhibit excellent ionic conductivity and good mechanical properties, but their poor air stability and solid-solid contact performance seriously hinder the wide application of sulfide all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs). Herein, this paper reviews the history and the major breakthroughs in the development of sulfide SEs. The theories of hard-soft-acid-base theory and glass structure theory, as well as several strategies to improve the chemical stability of sulfide SEs, are discussed emphatically.

Topology in Thermal, Particle, and Plasma Diffusion Metamaterials.

Chem Rev

September 2025

Department of Physics, State Key Laboratory of Surface Physics, Fudan University, Shanghai 200438, P. R. China.

Diffusion is a fundamental process in the transfer of mass and energy. Diffusion metamaterials, a class of engineered materials with distinctive properties, enable precise control and manipulation of diffusion processes. Meanwhile, topology, a branch of mathematics, has attracted growing interest within the condensed matter physics community.

Preoperative patient education in vascular surgery.

Health Educ Res

August 2025

Department of Surgery, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, 676 North St. Clair Street, Suite 650, Chicago, IL 60611, United States.

This is a systematic review and meta-analysis of preoperative patient education interventions used in vascular surgery and their impact on patient knowledge. Embase, PubMed, and Ovid were searched in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. For inclusion, studies involved an educational intervention for a vascular surgery procedure and patient knowledge was an outcome.

Flow fields (FFs) play multifaceted roles in direct methanol fuel cells (DMFC) by facilitating the transport and distribution of species, removal of products, support to the membrane electrode assembly (MEA), electrical conductivity, water, and thermal management. Therefore, the performance of DMFC is directly related to the pattern and geometry of the FF. DMFCs can generate power density of up to ≈100-300 mW cm; however, their performance is impeded by cathode flooding, CO gas bubbles formation, and mass transfer limitations.
