An exact modal decomposition method plays an important role in revealing the modal characteristics of a few-mode fiber, and it is widely used in various applications ranging from imaging to telecommunications. Here, ptychography technology is successfully used to achieve modal decomposition of a few-mode fiber. In our method, the complex amplitude information of the test fiber can be recovered by ptychography, and then the amplitude weight of each eigenmode and the relative phase between different eigenmodes can be easily calculated by modal orthogonal projection operations. In addition, we also propose a simple and effective method to realize coordinate alignment. Numerical simulations and optical experiments validate the reliability and feasibility of the approach.

Soft sensors have emerged as indispensable tools for predicting dissolved gas concentrations in transformer oil-critical indicators for fault diagnosis that defy direct measurement. Addressing the persistent challenge of prediction inaccuracy in existing methods, this study introduces a novel hybrid architecture integrating time-series decomposition, deep learning prediction, and signal reconstruction. Our approach initiates with variational mode decomposition (VMD) to disassemble original gas concentration sequences into stationary intrinsic mode functions (IMFs).

This paper investigates the inverse reconstruction of temperature fields under both steady-state and transient heat conduction scenarios. The central contribution lies in the structured development and validation of the Gappy Clustering-based Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (Gappy C-POD) method-an approach that, despite its conceptual origin alongside the clustering-based dimensionality reduction method guided by POD structures (C-POD), had previously lacked an explicit algorithmic framework or experimental validation. To this end, the study constructs a comprehensive solution framework that integrates sparse sensor layout optimization with data-driven field reconstruction techniques.
