Successfully designed and synthesized diaryl maleimide DAM, and their structure was confirmed by mass spectroscopy and NMR techniques. They investigated their photophysical properties, such as solvatochromic and the aggregation effect of AIE/ACQ on the water/DMF ratio, and other studies of solid-state mechanofluorochromic, such as grinding, exposure to solvent fumes, hydrostatic pressures, and vapochromic. Interestingly, the solvent methods gave very similar results in both the dissolving phase and the vapor phase. For the solution state from hexane to CHCl a greenish-yellow to orange emission was observed. From hexane to dichloromethane, naked-eye colorimetric changes (from yellow to orange in a solid state) were observed. Very interesting results were obtained, the yellow solid was ground for 1 min, it turned into an orange color, and its wavelengths were red-shifted in both absorption and emission. Subsequently, the ground sample was exposed to diethyl ether vapors, which returned to the original green-yellow emission and absorption. The applied hydrostatic pressures (0-4Mpa) in DAM gave excellent red-shifted emission, and then their hydrostatic pressures were increased to 4-16 Mpa, and the red-shifted emission gradually decreased.

In this study, the effects of high hydrostatic pressure (HHP)-mediated alterations in matrix composition on the bioaccessibility of carotenoids in satsuma mandarin juice were assessed. Results showed that the total carotenoid content increased significantly under HHP treatment (300-600 MPa), and the total carotenoids bioaccessibility was optimal at 600 MPa/1 min. The bioaccessibility of carotenoids in satsuma mandarin juice was positively correlated with the contents of titratable acids, total phenols and total sugars, all of which increased significantly after HHP.

Hydrated magnesium sulfates (MgSO·HO) are known to form multiple hydration states ( = 0-11) and are essential in planetary science and thermochemical energy storage. Despite their significance in detecting extraterrestrial water reservoirs or in mineral (de)hydration cycles, it is still necessary to understand how the structure-property relationships of these materials evolve at different hydration levels when pressure is applied. Through a systematic first-principles computational investigation, we elucidate the key structural factors governing the densification mechanism under hydrostatic pressure of MgSO·HO crystals.

Keratins represent an important class of sulfur-rich structural proteins. In this study, the pressure response of α-keratin, extracted from sheep wool, was investigated using Raman spectroscopy up to 4 GPa. A non-polar liquid (a Fluorinert™ FC70/77 mixture) served as the Pressure Transmitting Medium (PTM) in a Diamond Anvil Cell (DAC).

The development of decellularized vascular tissues for tissue engineering and vascular implants presents a promising approach to creating functional blood vessels. However, effective endothelialization with human endothelial cells remains challenging. This study examined the endothelialization of decellularized porcine aortas using human induced pluripotent stem (hiPS) cell-derived endothelial cells.
