Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have been reported to possess various beneficial properties and are commonly used as probiotics. LAB play a crucial role in milk fermentation, industrial lactic acid fermentation, and health and medicine. isolated from fermented dairy and food products is considered as 'Generally Recognized as Safe' by FDA. plays an important role in modulation of the intestinal microbiota, enhancing the host immune system and improving feed digestibility. We isolated a probiotic candidate that was identified and named JNU532. In a previous report, cell-free culture of JNU532 exhibited anti-melanogenic and antioxidant activities. In this study, we present the complete genome assembly of the bacterial strain JNU532. The final genome consists of one circular chromosome (2,077,416 base pairs) with a guanine + cytosine (GC) ratio of 51.5%.

Hayata 1916 is a unique bamboo species endemic to Taiwan, typically found at elevations ranging from 500 to 1,500 meters. This study provides a detailed analysis of the complete chloroplast genome of for the first time. The genome spans 139,664 base pairs (bp) and consists of a large single-copy (LSC) region of 83,192 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 12,869 bp, and two inverted repeat (IR) regions, each 21,798 bp in length.

Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma (PSC) is a rare and aggressive subtype of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with limited treatment options and poor prognosis. mutations generally respond to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs)-based targeted therapy but are typically associated with resistance to immunotherapy. We report a case of oligometastatic PSC harboring compound mutations (p.

Introduction: Anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO-Ab) are detectable in almost all patients with autoimmune thyroid disease or Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) but may also be present in healthy individuals. HT affects women to a greater extent than men and can lead to overt hypothyroidism, which may increase the risk of miscarriage. There are no local data available on the prevalence of TPO-Ab among healthy women in the United Arab Emirates.

Arenaviruses and Hantaviruses, primarily hosted by rodents and shrews, represent significant public health threats due to their potential for zoonotic spillover into human populations. Despite their global distribution, the full impact of these viruses on human health remains poorly understood, particularly in regions like Africa, where data is sparse. Both virus families continue to emerge, with pathogen evolution and spillover driven by anthropogenic factors such as land use change, climate change, and biodiversity loss.

Global salinization increasingly threatens ecosystem integrity and the regulation of biogeochemical cycles. Our study reveals novel insights into the microbial contributions to the organohalide decomposition in saline environments, demonstrating the unprecedented ability of organohalide-respiring bacteria and to completely dechlorinate trichloroethene to non-toxic ethene under hypersaline conditions (up to 31.3 g/L) in long-term operations.
