Background: Probiotics can reduce free radical scavenging rate and oxidative damage, and improve activity of crucial antioxidative enzymes in host cells. This study aimed to isolate Bifidobacterium spp. from faeces of babies, and investigate the antioxidant effects of the Bif. longum T37a in mice weight loss and aging model induced by D-galactose.
Results: T37a have good antioxidant properties in the DPPH assay and anti-lipid peroxidation test. Compared with the model group, T37a low group significantly increased the thymus index and the levels of T-AOC and GSH-Px of mice. T37a high group significantly decreased the spleen and liver index of mice and the levels of MDA in liver, significantly increased in liver HDL-C levels, and decreased LDL-C in liver.
Conclusions: T37a may be an anti-aging and weight-loss probiotics for its antioxidant capacity, and it is necessary to study further the molecular mechanism of T37a as antioxidant.

Terminalia arjuna, an important medicinal plant in traditional Indian systems, has been extensively studied for its cardioprotective bark. However, limited attention has been given to its fruit, which contains several biologically active phytochemicals with potential antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. This study aimed to isolate and partially purify phytoactive compounds from the fruit of T.

Purpose Of The Review: This review aimed to summarize current evidence on the effectiveness of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the management of obesity and endometriosis, with a focus on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean and Ketogenic diets, as well as nutritional supplementation. Additionally, it highlights the central role of the clinical nutritionist in implementing individualized, evidence-based interventions within multidisciplinary care.
Recent Findings: Although the literature reports the existence of an inverse relationship between risk of endometriosis and body mass index, clinical evidence jointly reports that a condition of obesity is associated with greater disease severity.

Acute or chronic liver damage can result in Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE), a potentially fatal neuropsychiatric condition that leads to cerebral and neurological alterations. Dapagliflozin (DAPA), an orally active Sodium/Glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor with long duration of action. The study aim was to evaluate the potential protective impact of DAPA against HE caused by Thioacetamide (TAA) in rats.

Plasmalogens are a subclass of glycerophospholipids characterized by a vinyl-ether bond at the sn-1 position; they play several physiological roles including membrane stabilization, antioxidant activity, and signal transduction. While choline, ethanolamine, serine, and glycerol plasmalogens (PlsCho, PlsEtn, PlsSer, and PlsGro) are naturally abundant, inositol plasmalogens (PlsIns) are rare. In contrast to the limited occurrence of PlsIns, phosphatidylinositol is a biologically crucial lipid, and its enzymatic biosynthesis from phosphatidylcholine has been extensively studied.
