BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal mucormycosis is an underrecognized and underreported fungal infection with a high mortality rate. Diagnosis is often confounded by a non-specific constellation of signs and symptoms. We present a case of neutropenic colitis and ileocecal perforation secondary to gastrointestinal mucormycosis.

Lemierre's syndrome (LS), otherwise known as postanginal sepsis, is a frequently overlooked condition characterized by septic thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein (IJV), usually caused by oropharyngeal infection. However, ear space (otogenic) infections are one of the atypical causes of LS and have been rarely reported. We present a case of a male in his 20s with a history of recurrent acute otitis media (RAOM) who presented with purulent ear discharge, fever, neck pain, and swelling for a week.

The hypertrophied column of Bertin (HCB) is a benign anatomical variant of the renal cortex that may mimic a neoplastic mass, particularly on ultrasound, potentially leading to unnecessary diagnostic or surgical interventions. We report the case of a nine-year-old girl in whom a renal lesion was incidentally discovered during follow-up imaging for a post-traumatic subcapsular hematoma. Renal ultrasound revealed an isoechoic mass in the mid-portion of the left kidney, extending into the renal sinus.

This report presents a case of solitary pulmonary metastasis from colon cancer, characterized by cystic airspaces, which can mimic a second primary lung cancer (LC). Preoperative contrast-enhanced computed tomography in a patient with colon cancer revealed a pulmonary micronodule with a cystic cavity in the right upper lobe. The patient subsequently underwent left-sided hemicolectomy followed by six cycles of chemotherapy.

Objectives: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) can cause radiation exposure and iodinated contrast material (ICM) damage. Here, we aimed to conclude the clinical benefits of image fusion (IF) guidance in EVAR in our center and share our experience on 0 ICM usage in magnetic resonance angiography (MRA)-IF-guided EVAR and explore its feasibility.

Methods: All patients who underwent EVAR at our center between January 2018 and December 2024 were included in this study.
