CPK12 decodes effector-triggered calcium signaling and phosphorylates PIP2;1 to facilitate apoplastic ROS transport into the cytoplasm in Arabidopsis.

Effector-triggered immunity (ETI) in plants is mediated by intracellular nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs), which converge on calcium (Ca) signaling pathways. However, how NLR-induced Ca signals initiate downstream immune responses, such as enhancing reactive oxygen species (ROS) signaling, remains largely unclear. In this study, we identified a calcium-dependent protein kinase (CPK) that regulates sustained ETI-ROS signaling.

Background: Kidney disease is a major global health issue, causing numerous deaths and a loss of life years. This prompts us to explore potential targets or mechanisms that may increase the likelihood of diagnosing and treating kidney diseases. N6-methyladenosine (mA) modifications dynamically regulate RNA through "writer" enzymes, "eraser" enzymes, and "reader" proteins, influencing its processing, stability, and translation efficiency.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are important regulators and promising targets for complex diseases. They have manifested dense relationships with various diseases. Although laboratory techniques have validated many lncRNA-disease associations (LDAs), they are costly, laborious, and time-consuming.

Ovarian cancer (OC) is a highly lethal gynecologic malignancy, frequently diagnosed at advanced stages due to its silent onset and nonspecific clinical presentation. The use of talc-containing powders in the genital area has long been suspected to contribute to the development of OC through inflammatory and irritative pathways; however, the association remains controversial. This scoping review aims to decode the link between talc powder exposure and ovarian cancer by synthesizing findings from epidemiologic studies, public awareness surveys, and laboratory investigations.

Unlabelled: Auditory verbal hallucinations (AVH) represent the experience of hearing voices in the absence of a corresponding external stimulus. Previous studies have posited a link between AVH and changes in emotion perception. We conducted a systematic review to examine whether such alterations relate consistently to AVH, and to what extent they depend on the participants' clinical status and stimulus characteristics (i.
