In this study, we have developed a self-cleaning transparent coating on a glass substrate by dip coating a TiO ̶ KH550 ̶ PEG mixed solution with super-hydrophilicity and good antifogging properties. The fabrication of the thin-film-coated glass is a one-step solution blending method that is performed by depositing only one layer of modified TiO nanoparticles at room temperature. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to determine the structure and morphology of the nanoparticles and the thin-film-coated glass. The surface functional groups were investigated using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and the optical properties of the glass coating were measured using a UV/Vis spectrometer. The results revealed that the KH-500-modified TiO film coating was in an anatase crystalline form. The hydrophilicity of the coated and uncoated glass substrates was observed by measuring their water contact angle (WCA) using a contact angle instrument. The maximum transparency of the coated glass measured in the visible region (380-780 nm) was approximately 70%, and it possessed excellent super-hydrophilic properties (WCA ~0°) at an annealing temperature of 350 °C without further need of UV or plasma treatment. These results demonstrate the super-hydrophilic coated glass surface has potential for use in self-cleaning and anti-fogging applications.

This study aimed to determine the influence of air abrasion on the shear bond strength (SBS) of universal adhesives when using different abrasive powders. The AquaCare Twin served as the injection device. The prepared bovine dentin specimens were air- abraded with alumina particles or bioactive glass before applying the universal adhesive (All Bond Universal, Clearfil Universal Bond Quick ER, or Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive).

Objectives: to evaluate the effect of smear-layer deproteinization using papain gel and SPRG-adhesive on marginal-gap, anti-demineralization of enamel and dentin after chemical pH cycling and assess acid-base resistance zone (ABRZ) characteristics.
Methods: Cylindrical cavities were prepared cervically in thirty-two extracted premolars. Teeth were divided into two pretreatment groups (n=16); deproteinization with papain enzyme gel (Papacarie Due, Brazil) for 60 second, and no-deproteinization.

Purpose The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a PEEK (polyether-ether-ketone) ultrasonic tip in the cleaning around implant-supported restorations and to evaluate the effect of different cement types on the amount of residual cement at the restoration margins.Materials and methods A master model with an implant analogue placed in the upper left first premolar region was used to create 72 cast models and zirconia crowns were fabricated for each model. A total of 72 zirconia crowns were divided into two main groups based on the cleaning method applied after cementation.

Silatranization, a specialized variant of silanization using silatrane compounds, is emerging as a powerful strategy to functionalize material surfaces. Compared to conventional silane coupling agents, silatranes exhibit remarkable hydrolytic stability and enhanced resistance to self-condensation, enabling controllable, water-independent formation of a polysiloxane self-assembled monolayer. This review critically examines the unique structure of silatranyl cages, emphasizing how the intramolecular N->Si bond and chelate effect modulate the silicon center's reactivity toward hydroxyl-decorated surfaces.

Nanoporous structures play a critical role in a wide range of applications, including catalysis, thermoelectrics, energy storage, gas adsorption, and thermal insulation. However, their thermal instability remains a persistent challenge. Inspired by the extraordinary resilience of tardigrades, an "atomic armor" strategy is introduced to enhance the stability of nanoporous structures.
