This study aimed to determine the influence of air abrasion on the shear bond strength (SBS) of universal adhesives when using different abrasive powders. The AquaCare Twin served as the injection device. The prepared bovine dentin specimens were air- abraded with alumina particles or bioactive glass before applying the universal adhesive (All Bond Universal, Clearfil Universal Bond Quick ER, or Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive). The resin composite-bonded specimens were stored in distilled water at 37°C for 24 h before measuring the SBS. The roughness and free energy of the adherent surfaces were measured, followed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and SEM/Energy dispersive X-ray analyses. Dentin pre-treatment and the adhesives used significantly affected the SBS values (p<0.001). Significant interactions were observed between pre-treatment conditions and the adhesive system (p<0.001). The bond strengths of universal adhesive depended on the surface properties of the dentin and the powder used.

Pneumatic booms offer distinct advantages over traditional structural barriers: not affecting the local vessel navigation and hydrological environment, enhanced mobility and maneuverability, etc. However, their oil interception performance remains insufficiently understood especially for the area-source ones. This study employs a well-validated numerical model based on the coupled VOF and DPM framework, to systematically investigate the plume evolution and oil containment efficiency of near-surface area-source bubble curtains under various aquatic scenarios.

As urbanization accelerates, the issue of pollutant discharge from building materials has become the focus of public attention. Conducted in a ventilated environmental chamber, the experiments investigated the emission characteristics of VOCs from dry and wet building materials, focusing on the influencing factors, such as temperature, relative humidity (RH), ventilation, and seasonality. The impact of influencing factors was quantified using a one-factor-at-a-time control method.

The qualitative and quantitative composition of airborne fungal spores results from the interaction of fungal biology, environmental factors, particularly climate, weather conditions, vegetation, land cover and human activity. Continuous aeromycological monitoring is rarely conducted due to the challenges associated with identifying the abundance of spores present in the air. In southeastern Poland such studies have been conducted only occasionally.

Vitamin D is critically important for sustainable human health, and the rising prevalence of deficiency-related diseases has increased interest in natural sources. This study explores the potential of epiphytic lichen-forming fungi, known for their unique metabolites, as a novel biosource of vitamin D for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications. Fourteen epiphytic lichen species were collected using a stratified sampling method from four mountainous forests in the Marmara Region of Türkiye.
