Objectives: This study aimed to provide evidence on the epidemiology, real-world treatment patterns, overall survival, and economic burden of Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM).
Methods: A retrospective analysis of an anonymized large German claims database from January 1, 2010, to June 30, 2022, identified incident WM cases based on a 12-month diagnosis-free period before the first confirmed WM diagnosis (ICD-10-GM code C88.0).

Vision foundation models have demonstrated vast potential in achieving generalist medical segmentation capability, providing a versatile, task-agnostic solution through a single model. However, current generalist models involve simple pre-training on various medical data containing irrelevant information, often resulting in the negative transfer phenomenon and degenerated performance. Furthermore, the practical applicability of foundation models across diverse open-world scenarios, especially in out-of-distribution (OOD) settings, has not been extensively evaluated.

Severe periapical cysts frequently result in tooth loss with concomitant severe alveolar bone destruction, precluding immediate implant placement. Autogenous tooth transplantation (ATT), which involves transplanting the patient's own tooth to the recipient site, offers a biological approach to reconstruct both the dentition and supporting bone structures. This report presents a 25-year-old female with a mobile, discolored maxillary right lateral incisor (#12) exhibiting grade 3 mobility due to a large periapical cyst (extending to #14 on CBCT) with root developmental arrest, secondary to Oehlers type II dens invaginatus.

Rivers provide ecosystem services, such as water purification and drinking water supply, which depend on the river's capacity to dilute effluents from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). There are no large-scale analyses of the dilution capacity of rivers that take into account the differences between perennial and non-perennial river reaches, even though more than half of the world's river and stream reaches are estimated to be non-perennial. We evaluated the actual and future capacity of perennial and non-perennial river reaches in Europe to dilute WWTP effluents.

As a crucial component in rotating machinery, bearings are prone to varying degrees of damage in practical application scenarios. Therefore, studying the fault diagnosis of bearings is of great significance. This article proposes the Kepler algorithm to optimize the weights of neural networks and improve the diagnostic accuracy of the model.
