A filtering algorithm based on frequency domain spline type, frequency domain spline adaptive filters (FDSAF), effectively reducing the computational complexity of the filter. However, the FDSAF algorithm is unable to suppress non-Gaussian impulsive noises. To suppression non-Gaussian impulsive noises along with having comparable operation time, a maximum correntropy criterion (MCC) based frequency domain spline adaptive filter called frequency domain maximum correntropy criterion spline adaptive filter (FDSAF-MCC) is developed in this paper. Further, the bound on learning rate for convergence of the proposed algorithm is also studied. And through experimental simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in suppressing non-Gaussian impulsive noises. Compared with the existing frequency domain spline adaptive filter, the proposed algorithm has better performance.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted the morale of healthcare professionals, including nursing faculty and staff. To address this, a college of nursing developed a Gratitude Team to boost morale and create a supportive work environment. Gratitude enhances an individual's sense of value while fostering loyalty, job satisfaction, retention, performance, collaboration, creativity, well-being, and leadership development.

Purpose: Accelerating MR acquisition is essential for image guided therapeutic applications. Compressed sensing (CS) has been developed to minimize image artifacts in accelerated scans, but the required iterative reconstruction is computationally complex and difficult to generalize. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs)/Transformers-based deep learning (DL) methods emerged as a faster alternative but face challenges in modeling continuous k-space, a problem amplified with non-Cartesian sampling commonly used in accelerated acquisition.

Background: Few population-based multilevel analyses examining individual- and neighborhood-level risk factors for schizophrenia have been conducted.
Methods: A study cohort of all persons born in Denmark from 1990 to 1999 was followed for diagnosis with schizophrenia. Follow-up was initiated at 10th birthday and terminated at death, emigration, incident diagnosis, or 31st December 2018, whichever came first.

The AUA isoleucine codon is generally rare and used with varying frequency in bacterial genomes. The tRNA responsible for decoding this trinucleotide must be modified at the wobble position by tRNA lysidine synthetase (TilS) prior to aminoacylation and accommodation at the ribosome. To test the hypothesis that TilS catalytic efficiency correlates with AUA frequency, we cloned tilS genes from bacteria with varying AUA codon usage.

Background: Intrinsic capacity (IC) and frailty are distinct but complementary frameworks for understanding the heterogeneity of aging. Although both have been linked to self-rated health, little is known about how their combined status relates to older adults’ health perceptions. This cross-sectional study investigated how combinations of IC and frailty status were associated with self-rated health among community-dwelling older adults.
