Acute leukaemias are the commonest cancers in children and young people (CYP). Off-treatment surveillance is assumed to improve relapse detection, but whether this affects subsequent survival and quality of life is unclear. Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD), anxiety disorders, and self-harm are substantial contributors to the global disease burden, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: We used Global Burden of Diseases Study (GBD) 2021 to estimate global, regional, and national prevalence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) for MDD, anxiety disorders, and self-harm from 1990 to 2021. Annual percentage changes were calculated for pre-pandemic (1990-2019) and pandemic (2019-2021) periods.

Objective: Experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) can negatively impact young people's reproductive autonomy, including making it more challenging to get contraception. This study examined the association between IPV and delays in obtaining contraception in a sample of young women from California and Texas.
Study Design: The data are from a supplementary study to a cluster randomized controlled trial conducted with young people sexually-active within the past year recruited at 29 community colleges during the COVID-19 pandemic (May 2020-May 2023).
