Background: Children in low- and middle-income countries face obstacles to optimal language and cognitive development due to a variety of factors related to adverse socioeconomic conditions. One of these factors is compromised caregiver-child interactions and associated pressures on parenting. Early development interventions, such as dialogic book-sharing (DBS), address this variable, with evidence from both high-income countries and urban areas of low- and middle-income countries showing that such interventions enhance caregiver-child interaction and the associated benefits for child cognitive and socioemotional development.

Global challenges posed by freshwater scarcity and the water-energy nexus drive demand for novel macromolecular design of tailored nanostructures endowed with a variety of hydrophilic and hydrophobic features. Offering potential to meet this demand, metal-organic framework (MOF) materials are synthesized from coordinated formations that create versatile reticular structures with variable water adsorption affinities. However, advances in the fundamental understanding of water interactions within these structures are impeded by the failure of classical analyses to identify mechanisms of interaction, connect fundamental isotherm types, and provide appropriate benchmarks for assessment.

Mycotoxins in feed can pose significant risks to the health of livestock and poultry, leading to reduced economic returns and impaired production efficiency, thereby impeding the sustainable development of the livestock industry. Consequently, the exploration of highly sensitive, simple and rapid detection methods for trace mycotoxins in feed is crucial for ensuring feed safety and promoting industrial sustainability. Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), a rapid detection method characterized by high sensitivity, ease of operation, and resistance to water interference, has gained substantial traction in mycotoxin detection within feed matrices in recent years.
