In the present work, a paper-based electrode assemble was developed and implemented to detect target microRNA 155 (miRNA 155) via electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. In this concept, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) modified paper based electrode assemble system (AuNP-PE) was designed, and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and EIS measurements. The impedimetric detection of miRNA 155 was performed by measuring the fractional change at the charge transfer resistance (R). The detection limits were found as 33.8 nM in PBS and 93.4 nM in fetal bovine serum (FBS) medium, respectively. The selectivity of the proposed assay was tested against to non-complementary (NC) and mismatch (MM) miRNA sequences in the presence of mixture sample containing miRNA:NC (1:1) and miRNA:MM (1:1) in PBS (pH 7.40) or FBS. The analytical performance and the selectivity of impedimetric biosensor were also tested in FBS.

In this study, we investigated the influence of ultrasonic frequency during ultrasound-assisted chemical bath deposition (UCBD) on the surface morphology and electrochemical performance of CoO:MnO@CoMnO composite flexible electrodes for supercapacitor applications. By systematically varying the ultrasonic frequency (1.0-2.

The rational design of electrode materials with outstanding energy and power density for supercapacitors (SCc) and high-performance electrocatalysts in alkaline media plays an indispensable role in the application of energy storage and overall water splitting. In this paper, we prepared NiCoFe layered ternary hydroxides (LTH) using a hydrothermal synthesis method. The sample with a Ni/Co/Fe ratio of 1:2:0.

Achieving high capacitance while maintaining rapid charge transport and structural stability remains a major challenge in the design of battery-type supercapacitor electrodes. Herein, a molecularly engineered strategy is presented for constructing hierarchical hybrid electrodes by integrating petal-like NiCu-LDH nanosheets onto 3D HBC-x (x = H, F, OMe)-functionalized CNT paper via a one-step hydrothermal process. The incorporation of HBC effectively mitigates CNT agglomeration and constructs an interconnected conductive framework that enhances charge transport, shortens ion diffusion paths, and reduces internal resistance.

We report the performance of solid-state ceramic supercapacitors (SSCs) based on a novel composite electrolyte comprising aluminum-doped lithium lanthanum titanate perovskite, LiLaTiAlO (Al-doped LLTO), and the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIM BF). Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data confirms the preservation of the tetragonal perovskite phase after Al substitution, indicating structural stability of the host lattice. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy further corroborate the successful incorporation of Al without forming secondary phases.

Carbonized wood has great potential as a self-supported electrode for energy storage/conversion applications. However, developing efficient and economical bifunctional electrodes by customizing the surface structure remains a challenge. This study proposes a novel multifunctional electrode design strategy, using N/P co-doped carbonized wood (NPCW) as carriers and in situ grows copper nanoparticles (Cu NPs) as nucleation centers to induce vertical growth of CuCo-layered double hydroxid (LDH) nanosheets along the substrate.
