Hyperdivergent skeletal Class II malocclusion is largely genetically determined and poses significant challenges in orthodontic treatment, particularly due to compromised facial aesthetics, reduced bite force and airway narrowing. Traditionally, orthognathic surgery has been the standard treatment for correcting such skeletal discrepancies. However, the advent of temporary skeletal anchorage devices (TSADs) has expanded the possibilities for orthodontic camouflage by allowing effective vertical control.

Background: C-acetate positron emission tomography (PET) enables simultaneous quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF) and oxidative metabolism; however, sex-specific normative data under vasodilator stress remain insufficiently defined. We aimed to characterize these parameters in healthy individuals.
Results: Eighteen healthy individuals (9 males and 9 females, age/sex-matched; median age 43 years [range 34-65]) with normal echocardiography and no underlying cardiovascular disease underwent one-day rest-stress dynamic C-acetate PET with adenosine.

Background: Aortic valve calcification (AVC), mitral annular calcification (MAC), and coronary artery calcification (CAC) all share common atherosclerotic origins. However, the relationship between these entities is not fully understood.
Methods: A total of 722 asymptomatic individuals who underwent health screening with serial cardiac computed tomography (CT) were retrospectively selected for analysis.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the radiological outcomes of occipitocervical fusion (OCF) for traumatic craniocervical junction (CCJ) instability by analyzing changes in pre- and postoperative CT-measured radiological parameters.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 20 consecutive adult trauma patients who underwent OCF for CCJ instability at a single center from January 2015 to May 2023. Clinical features, surgical outcomes, and pre- and postoperative CT-measured parameters (BDI, BAI, ADI, SAC, CCA) were evaluated.

Purpose: To evaluate real-world functional and anatomical outcomes, treatment patterns, and ocular examination trends in diabetic macular edema (DME) in Korea.
Methods: A prospective, multicenter, observational study was conducted at 17 hospitals (2017-2022) involving adults with DME. Patients were categorized into center-involving (CI DME) and non-center-involving (non-CI DME) groups based on optical coherence tomography findings.
