Physical resource allocation strategy is a key factor affecting the performance of a mobile ad hoc network (MANET), which serves as a network model widely used in the sensor and detection field. For various perceived service information, it is significant for the allocation strategy to adapt to the dynamic service requirements and prioritize resource access for the service information with high priority to guarantee its real-time performance. In this paper, a novel dynamic time division multiple access (TDMA) scheduling strategy is proposed for MANETs. Firstly, a service priority-based dynamic TDMA scheduling (SP-DS) algorithm is presented, which introduces the service priority as a reference factor for slot allocation and fully considers the transmission throughput and end-to-end delay performance. Moreover, for improving the slot use of the whole system, a modified distributed color constraint heuristic (MD-CCH) scheme is presented to optimize the frame structure. The SP-DS and MD-CCH algorithms are combined to form the novel strategy. Simulation results have demonstrated that the proposed strategy has better performance in the slot use, slot allocation efficiency, end-to-end delay and transmission throughput compared with the existing slot allocation algorithms.

Underwater acoustic sensor networks (UASNs) are fundamental assets to enable discovery and utilization of sub-sea environments and have attracted both academia and industry to execute long-term underwater missions. Given the heightened significance of battery dependency in underwater wireless sensor networks, our objective is to maximize the amount of harvested energy underwater by adopting the TDMA time slot scheduling approach to prolong the operational lifetime of the sensors. In this study, we considered the spatial uncertainty of underwater ambient resources to improve the utilization of available energy and examine a stochastic model for piezoelectric energy harvesting.

Low-Power Wide-Area Networks constitute a leading, emerging Internet-of-Things technology, with important applications in environmental and industrial monitoring and disaster prevention and management. In such sensor networks, external detectable events can trigger synchronized alarm report transmissions. In LoRaWANs, and more generally in networks with a random access-based medium access algorithm, this can lead to a cascade of frame collisions, temporarily resulting in degraded performance and diminished system operational capacity, despite LoRaWANs' physical layer interference and collision reduction techniques.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface-aided communication systems have been intensively investigated to improve capacity, coverage, and energy efficiency via optimal controlling of phase shifts for passive reflecting elements. However, there are few studies on cooperative transmission incorporating RIS in TDMA systems, because RIS reflects all the incident signals, and it inadvertently leads to a boost in interference signals. In this paper, we propose RIS-assisted cooperative time-division multiple access, in which the required SINR of all users is guaranteed as much as possible by opportunistic use of RIS for cooperative transmission.

The paper concerns multicast packet traffic throughput maximization in multi-hop wireless sensor networks with time division multiple access to radio channel. We assume that the modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) that are used by the (broadcasting) nodes as well as the transmission power of the nodes are adjustable. This leads to the main research question studied in this paper: To answer this question, we introduce mixed-integer programming formulations for joint MCSs assignment and TPC optimization, together with a solution algorithm.
