Background: Frailty is a dynamic condition that may affect mental health. This study aimed to investigate the associations of frailty and its changes with the risks of depressive symptoms across multiple regions in aging populations.
Methods: Data were drawn from five cohort studies in the United States, England, Europe, China, and Mexico.

Delayed posthypoxic leukoencephalopathy (DPHL) is a rare diagnosis that may present similarly to other more common neurological conditions, such as catatonia. While often seen with carbon-monoxide poisoning, it can also be due to anoxia due to other causes, such as drug overdose or cardiac arrest. Due to the delayed nature of its symptoms and overlap with other conditions, it can be initially misdiagnosed.

Background: In hyponatremic patients, concurrent dialysate flow during hemodialysis may be an ideal option to mitigate complications such as osmotic demyelination syndrome (ODS).
Methods: Present randomized controlled trial enrolled dialysis-requiring chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acute kidney injury (AKI) patients with serum sodium levels < 125 mEq/L during January 2020 over 16 months. Hemodynamically unstable patients, as well as those with a history of seizures and neurological conditions, were excluded.

Background: Healthcare workers rank among the groups that are most vulnerable to the SARS-CoV-2 infection. Deterioration in physical fitness and mental health is a common manifestation in the post-COVID-19 person, which require specific and effective treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a 6-week, semi-supervised exercise intervention on physical fitness and mental health in post-COVID-19 healthcare workers (HCWs).

Loneliness is a pressing public health concern with significant economic, health and social consequences. This paper examines the impact of economic downturns, particularly unemployment and job loss perception, on loneliness in Australia. Using a fixed-effects panel regression applied to 19 waves of data, we find that unemployment is significantly linked to an increased likelihood of experiencing loneliness and other dimensions of social health, with the effects of unemployment on loneliness persisting for several years.
