The rapid increase in multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria and biofilm-associated infections has intensified the global need for innovative antimicrobial strategies. Phage therapy offers promising precision against MDR pathogens by utilizing the natural ability of phages to specifically infect and lyse bacteria. However, their clinical application is hampered by challenges such as narrow host range, immune clearance and limited efficacy within biofilms.

Background And Hypothesis: Schizophrenia is linked to hippocampal dysfunction and microglial inflammatory activation. Our prior clinical findings revealed significantly reduced transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) expression in both first-episode and recurrent schizophrenia patients, with levels inversely correlating with symptom severity, implicating TRPV1 dysfunction in disease progression. Preclinical maternal separation (MS) models recapitulate schizophrenia-like behavioral and synaptic deficits, paralleled by hippocampal microglial TRPV1 downregulation.

State Key Laboratory of Southwestern Chinese Medicine Resources, College of Modern Chinese Medicine Industry, School of Pharmacy, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chengdu, 611137, China.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by joint inflammation, damage, and disability. Activated fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLSs), abundant in RA synovium, crucially facilitate disease progression. These activated FLSs drive RA pathogenesis by upregulating adhesion molecules, proinflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC-II).

September 2025

Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Plant Resources, State Key Laboratory for Biocontrol, School of Life Sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou 510275, P. R. China; MOE Key Laboratory of Gene Function and Regulation, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou 510275, P. R. China. Electronic address:

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as pivotal regulators in gene expression networks, characterized by their structural flexibility and functional versatility. In plants, lncRNAs have gained increasing attention due to accumulating evidence of their roles in modulating developmental plasticity and agronomic traits. In this review, we focus on the origin, classification, and mechanisms of action of plant lncRNAs, with a particular emphasis on their involvement in developmental processes.

Purpose: Targeted therapy with lenvatinib is a preferred option for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, however, predicting its efficacy remains challenging. This study aimed to build a nomogram integrating clinicoradiological indicators and radiomics features to predict the response to lenvatinib in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Methods: This study included 211 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma from two centers, who were allocated into the training (107 patients), internal test (46 patients) and external test set(58 patients).
