Pu-erh raw tea (PRT), a post-fermented tea, is prized for its complex flavor profile and health-promoting properties. While extended storage enhances its sensory attributes, the decade-scale metabolic dynamics underpinning flavor evolution remain unexplored. This study comprehensively characterized non-volatile metabolomic profiles and flavor changes in PRT across a 10-year storage period (2012-2023).

Background: The clinical differentiation between obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome (OAPS) and undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD) presents significant diagnostic challenges. This study employs metabolomics to investigate metabolic reprogramming patterns in OAPS and UCTD, aiming to identify potential biomarkers for early diagnosis.
Methods: Using LC-MS-based metabolomics, we analyzed serum profiles from 40 OAPS patients (B1), 30 OAPS + UCTD patients (B2), 27 UCTD patients (B3), and 30 healthy controls (A1).

Introduction: Shikimic acid, as a critical precursor for oseltamivir synthesis in antiviral pharmaceuticals, faces escalating global demand. Although leaves have emerged as a promising natural source of shikimic acid owing to their exceptional content of this valuable compound and substantial biomass production capacity, the molecular mechanisms underlying its biosynthesis and downstream metabolic regulation in leaves remain largely unknown.
Methods: Here, the concentration of shikimic acid in 33 clones were assessed, and 1# (referred as HS) had the highest level.

Objective: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder characterized pathologically by the progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta, leading to a significant decline in striatal dopamine levels. This study aims to systematically analyze alterations in striatal metabolites across different stages of PD to identify potential biomarkers, elucidate pathological mechanisms, and explore therapeutic targets.
Methods: A total of 72 mice were divided into six groups, including one control group and five PD model groups (W1-W5, representing distinct stages based on the duration of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine/probenecid induction).

Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning remains a major forensic and public health concern due to its high lethality and diagnostic challenges. Its colorless, odorless nature and the limited reliability of carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) levels-compounded by postmortem changes-complicate toxicological interpretation. This study employed untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics to characterize systemic biochemical alterations in fatal CO poisoning cases.
