Inter-laboratory replicability is crucial yet challenging in microbiome research. Leveraging microbiomes to promote soil health and plant growth requires understanding underlying molecular mechanisms using reproducible experimental systems. In a global collaborative effort involving five laboratories, we aimed to help advance reproducibility in microbiome studies by testing our ability to replicate synthetic community assembly experiments.

Long non-coding RNA MALAT1 regulates epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and metastasis in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) through a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism involving miRNA modulation. This study aimed to elucidate the molecular pathway by which MALAT1 influences EMT and metastatic behavior via interaction with miR-200c-3p and SNAI2. MALAT1 expression was genetically manipulated in the EOC cell line SK-OV-3 by either overexpression or knockdown.

Background: Neuroimmune processes are often implicated in young people with atypical neuropsychiatric disorders, yet treatment implications remain controversial. This case series details young people with primary psychiatric disorders who received adjunctive immunotherapy after thorough investigation and extensive conventional treatments.
Methods: We evaluated 45 individuals (93% female, ages 12-30 years) with atypical psychiatric presentations suggesting potential neuroimmune involvement.

Through selective blockade of neutrophil serine protease (NSP) activation, these agents establish novel treatment paradigms for inflammatory respiratory conditions characterized by neutrophil-driven pathology. This comprehensive review examines the development status, clinical efficacy, and safety profile of DPP1 inhibitors in neutrophil-driven diseases, particularly non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFBE) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
