Background: The state of disarray from unhygienic conditions and excessive litter throughout urban highways, alleyways, and byways across rural and urban localities of India is abysmal. Such unsanitary conditions impinge upon the future health and welfare of its citizens, tourists and economic development.
Purpose: The NRL volunteered PGIMER's campus hygiene initiative" is a pioneering effort spearheaded in compliance with Indian Prime Minister's call that citizens of India work together to establish a cleaner and healthier environment.
Methods: A group of 15 highly motivated students in the Neuroscience Division of the PGIMER, worked together vigorously 2 hours a week to affect a cleaner urban environment in the city.
Result: The results were national and to PGIMER as the cleanest hospital in the country, the vendors or patients no longer litter around the campus, the pot holes have been converted into greener patches, signs board adorn the campus.
Conclusion: To inspire citizens through faculty- student led sanitation programs.

Amplicon sequencing is a popular method for understanding the diversity of bacterial communities in samples containing multiple organisms as exemplified by 16S rRNA sequencing. Another application of amplicon sequencing includes multiplexing both primer sets and samples, allowing sequencing of multiple targets in multiple samples in the same sequencing run. Multiple tools exist to process the amplicon sequencing data produced via the short-read Illumina platform, but there are fewer options for long-read Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing, or for processing data from environmental surveillance or other sources with many different organisms.

Introduction: Preclinical and clinical study data show that combining bedaquiline (B or BDQ), moxifloxacin (M), and pyrazinamide (Z), known as BMZ, has potent antimicrobial activity that might shorten treatment duration for drug-susceptible pulmonary tuberculosis.
Methods/design: We describe the design of Tuberculosis Trials Consortium (TBTC) Study 38/CRUSH-TB (NCT05766267), an open-label multicenter international randomized controlled phase 2C trial that compares two four-month regimens, BMZ plus rifabutin (Rb) (2BMZRb/2BMRb) or BMZ plus delamanid (D or DLM) (2BMZD/2BMD), with standard 6-months isoniazid, rifampin, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol (HRZE). All drugs are administered seven days per week, under direct observation, at least five days per week.

The growing interest in prebiotic ingredients has led to the valorization of agri-food by-products, such as coffee silverskin, known for its richness in dietary fiber and health-promoting compounds. This study evaluated the impact of in vitro simulation of gastrointestinal digestion on the chemical composition (carbohydrates, caffeine, and chlorogenic acids) and prebiotic potential (probiotic growth, organic acid production, pH, and antioxidant activity) of milled coffee silverskin. The results show stability of polysaccharides during digestion, while caffeine and 5-caffeoylquinic acid were partially released into the bioaccessible fraction.

Objective: This study evaluates the effectiveness and safety of C-arm cone beam CT (CBCT)-guided microcoil localization combined with uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for the management of small, difficult-to-localize ground-glass opacities (GGOs) and sub-solid nodules in the lungs.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data from 13 patients with single, small, peripheral, non-subpleural GGOs or SSN. All patients underwent successful microcoil localization using CB-CT guidance followed by uniportal VATS resection.

Problem: In sub-Saharan Africa, hypertension prevalence is usually estimated from participant recall. We assessed the accuracy of self-reported hypertension in women of reproductive age.
Approach: In PRECISE (PREgnancy Care Integrating translational Science, Everywhere), an observational prospective cohort study, we recruited 1825 non-pregnant women of reproductive age, 610 in the Gambia, 609 in Kenya and 606 in Mozambique.
