This is a systematic review and meta-analysis of preoperative patient education interventions used in vascular surgery and their impact on patient knowledge. Embase, PubMed, and Ovid were searched in accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. For inclusion, studies involved an educational intervention for a vascular surgery procedure and patient knowledge was an outcome.

Purpose We aimed to compare postoperative changes in intervertebral foraminal areas and the mechanisms of foraminal stenosis following fixation surgery for cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) with local kyphosis and instability, using three-dimensional computed tomography (3DCT). Methods We retrospectively analyzed 55 patients who underwent posterior cervical spinal fixation using pedicle screws. A total of 71 spinal levels (C2/3 to C7/T1) and 144 intervertebral foramina with anchor screws inserted in the upper and lower vertebrae were examined.

Common pulmonary vein atresia (CPVA) is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by the absence of functional connectivity between the pulmonary vein and any other heart cavity or systemic venous structure. A 13-h-old newborn (G3P3) was admitted to the department of pediatrics of a local maternity hospital and given tracheal intubation ventilator for assisted breathing due to systemic cyanosis, respiratory distress, and poor response 4 h after birth. He was transferred to Handan Maternal and Child Health Hospital 7 h after birth.
