Objective: CXCR4 and integrin αβ play important roles in tumor biology and are highly expressed in multiple types of tumors. This study aimed to synthesize, preclinically evaluate, and clinically validate a novel dual-targeted PET imaging probe Ga-pentixafor-c(RGDfK) for its potential in imaging tumors.
Methods: The effects of Ga-pentixafor-c(RGDfK) on cell viability, targeting specificity, and affinity were assessed in the U87MG cells.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder marked by cognitive decline and the accumulation of amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques, with current treatments offering only limited efficacy. Targeted photo-oxygenation of Aβ using small-molecule photosensitizers has emerged as a promising strategy to modulate amyloid aggregation and mitigate associated toxicity. In this work, the rational design and synthesis of donor-engineered, benzimidazole-functionalized aggregation-induced emission (AIE) photosensitizer with optimized photophysical and morphological properties for multimodal theranostic applications in AD is analyzed and reported.

Objective: To investigate the anticancer effects and underlying mechanisms of 8-nitrotryptanthrin (8-Nitrotryp) against colorectal cancer (CRC).
Methods: The effects of 8-Nitrotryp on proliferation, colony formation, and migration were evaluated in HCT116 and SW480 cells, with comparisons to its parent compound tryptanthrin (Tryp). Mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) was assessed using JC-1 staining, and early apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry.

With the rapid development of precision medicine and the continuous evolution of smart wearable devices, photothermal materials (PTMs) are experiencing a tremendous opportunity for growth. PTMs can efficiently convert light energy into heat to achieve localized thermal therapy for specific cells or tissues, offering advantages of minimal invasiveness, high selectivity, and precise targeting. Furthermore, PTMs can serve as molecular imaging probes and smart drug carriers, integrating multiple functions such as bioimaging and drug delivery to realize the visualization and controlled release of therapeutic processes.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative joint disease, and early diagnosis and effective treatment are essential for managing its progression. This study focuses on the development of a novel drug delivery system using aggregation-induced emission (AIE) probe for enhanced fluorescence imaging and targeted therapy in OA. TPE-S-BTD, an AIE probe, is synthesized and characterized for its photophysical properties, demonstrating significant aggregation-induced fluorescence enhancement.
