It is difficult to calculate the energy levels and eigenstates of a large physical system on a classical computer because of the exponentially growing size of the Hilbert space. In this work, we experimentally demonstrate a quantum algorithm which could solve this problem via simulated resonant transitions. Using a four-qubit quantum simulator in which two qubits are used as ancillas for control and measurement, we obtain the energy spectrum of a 2-qubit low-energy effective Hamiltonian of the water molecule. The simulated transitions allow the state of the quantum simulator to transform and access large regions of the Hilbert space, including states that have no overlap with the initial state. Furthermore, we make use of this algorithm to efficiently prepare specific eigenstates on the simulator according to the measured eigenenergies.

We present a method for probing the quantum capacitance associated with the Rydberg transition of surface electrons on liquid helium using radio-frequency (rf) reflectometry. Resonant microwave excitation of the Rydberg transition induces a redistribution of image charges on capacitively coupled electrodes, giving rise to a quantum capacitance originating from adiabatic state transitions and the finite curvature of the energy bands. At the extreme densities in neutron stars, a phase transition to deconfined quark matter is anticipated. Yet masses, radii, and tidal deformabilities offer only indirect measures of a first-order phase transition, requiring many detections to resolve or being ineffective observables if the discontinuity exists at lower densities. We report on a smoking-gun gravitational-wave signature of a first-order transition: the resonant tidal excitation of an interface mode.

Reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) process is critical for thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials to realize spin-flip of triplet excitons in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), but the RISC processes of most TADF materials are not fast enough, undermining electroluminescence (EL) efficiency stability and operational lifetime. Herein, a symmetry breaking strategy to accelerate RISC processes is proposed. By designing asymmetric electron-withdrawing backbone consisting of benzonitrile and xanthone/thioxanthone groups, two new asymmetric TADF molecules, 4tCzCN-pXT and 4tCzCN-pTXT, with multiple 3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazole donors are successfully developed.

Patients And Methods: In this multicenter longitudinal study, data from the Spanish Register in AS (AEU-PIEM/2014/0001) were reviewed. The study focused on a cohort of AS patients registered between 2014 and 2019, featuring open inclusion criteria and diverse follow-up strategies.
Results: A total of 3315 AS patients were recruited, with 2881 and 434 categorized into the low and intermediate risk groups based on NCCN grouping at inclusion.
