Article Abstract

Neoadjuvant cisplatin-based chemotherapy (NAC; 70 mg/m) is standard of care for muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma (MIBC). Many patients (pts) cannot receive cisplatin because of renal impairment, and administration of cisplatin 35 mg/m on day 1 + 8 or 1 + 2 (i.e., split schedule) is a commonly used alternative. In this retrospective analysis, we compared complete (pT0) and partial (

Objective: This study aims to investigate the effects of time and light variation on the growth and reproductive performances of breeder geese.

Methods: A total of 32 ganders and 96 dames in their first laying season, with an average age of 10 months, were assigned to eight rooms, each containing four ganders and twelve dams. A split-plot design was used, incorporating two prelay photoperiod treatments: a 7-hour light period (P7H), in which the photoperiod was maintained at seven hours for the first six weeks, and a gradually decreasing light (GDL) group, in which the light duration was initially set at 12 hours and then reduced by one hour per week during the prelay period.

PurposeVirtual General Surgery residency interviews remain common despite the easing of travel restrictions and health risks associated with the spread of COVID-19. The primary benefits of virtual interviews include time and cost savings for applicants and programs alike. Despite these benefits, many have advocated for a return to the in-person setting, citing improved ability for applicants to assess the intangibles of a program.

Background: Managing nurse staffing is complex due to fluctuating demand based on ward occupancy, patient acuity, and dependency. Monitoring staffing adequacy in real time has the potential to inform safe and efficient deployment of staff. Patient classification systems (PCSs) are being used for per shift workload measurement, but they add a frequent administrative task for ward nursing staff.
