Proteins seldom function individually. Instead, they interact with other proteins or nucleic acids to form stable macromolecular complexes that play key roles in important cellular processes and pathways. One of the goals of Saccharomyces Genome Database (SGD; www.yeastgenome.org) is to provide a complete picture of budding yeast biological processes. To this end, we have collaborated with the Molecular Interactions team that provides the Complex Portal database at EMBL-EBI to manually curate the complete yeast complexome. These data, from a total of 589 complexes, were previously available only in SGD's YeastMine data warehouse (yeastmine.yeastgenome.org) and the Complex Portal (www.ebi.ac.uk/complexportal). We have now incorporated these macromolecular complex data into the SGD core database and designed complex-specific reports to make these data easily available to researchers. These web pages contain referenced summaries focused on the composition and function of individual complexes. In addition, detailed information about how subunits interact within the complex, their stoichiometry and the physical structure are displayed when such information is available. Finally, we generate network diagrams displaying subunits and Gene Ontology annotations that are shared between complexes. Information on macromolecular complexes will continue to be updated in collaboration with the Complex Portal team and curated as more data become available.

A profound understanding of pancreatic anatomy and its vascular supply is essential for safely performing complex surgical procedures such as pancreaticoduodenectomy. Historically, anatomical exploration began with Herophilos and Ruphos of Ephesos in ancient times, evolving through major surgical innovations by Wirsung, Kausch and Whipple. The pancreas is located secondarily retroperitoneally and therefore has a close relationship of the pancreatic head to the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and portal vein (PV) and the celiac trunc.

Background: Achieving R0 resection in hepatopancreatobiliary (HBP) surgery frequently necessitates venous resection and reconstruction. Autologous grafts offer a promising solution, particularly in complex resections where infection risk or graft availability limit the use of synthetic or donor grafts. However, clinical data on the outcomes of autologous venous grafts remain limited.

Background: Neighborhoods resulting from rapid urbanization processes are often saturated with eateries for local communities, potentially increasing exposure to unhealthy foods and creating diabetogenic residential habitats.
Objective: We examined the association between proximity of commercial food outlets to local neighborhood residences and type 2 diabetes (T2D) cases to explore how local T2D rates vary by location and provide policy-driven metrics to monitor food outlet density as a potential control for high local T2D rates.
Methods: This cross-sectional ecological study included 11,354 patients with active T2D aged ≥20 years geocoded using approximate neighborhood residence aggregated to area-level rates and counts by subdistricts (mukims) in Penang, northern Malaysia.

Objective: To develop a deep learning radiomics(DLR)model integrating PET/CT radiomics, deep learning features, and clinical parameters for early prediction of bone oligometastases (≤5 lesions) in breast cancer.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 207 breast cancer patients with 312 bone lesions, comprising 107 benign and 205 malignant lesions, including 89 lesions with confirmed bone metastases. Radiomic features were extracted from computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), and fused PET/CT images using PyRadiomics embedded in the uAI Research Portal.

Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) placement is a well-established intervention for portal hypertension. However, some patients experience persistent complications such as encephalopathy, ascites, or thrombocytopenia, especially when further TIPS optimization is not technically possible. Partial splenic embolization (PSE), typically performed for hypersplenism or certain hematologic conditions, can reduce portal venous inflow and improve cytopenias; however, its use as an adjunct to TIPS is less well described.
