Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are among the most effective nanocarriers for siRNA delivery due to their high transfection efficiency, nucleic acid encapsulation capacity, and relatively low toxicity. This has led to significant interest from academic institutions and pharmaceutical companies. However, the intrinsic hepatic tropism of LNPs limits their potential for targeted siRNA delivery to tumors.

Background: The deposition of toxic aggregated amyloid-β (Aβ), resulting from continuous cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP) by β-site APP cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1) and γ-secretase, is a key pathogenic event in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Background: Exploring piRNA-disease associations can help discover candidate diagnostic or prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets. Several computational methods have been presented for identifying associations between piRNAs and diseases. However, the existing methods encounter challenges such as over-smoothing in feature learning and overlooking specific local proximity relationships, resulting in limited representation of piRNA-disease pairs and insufficient detection of association patterns.

Extracellular vesicles secreted by keratinocytes are involved in intercellular interactions and contain various proteins, mRNA and miRNA, lipids, due to which they can activate cell migration and proliferation. The secreted human protein SLURP-2 regulates growth and differentiation of epithelial cells and affects proliferation and migration of keratinocytes. In this work, we showed that extracellular vesicles secreted by keratinocytes in the presence of SLURP-2 stimulate migration of HaCaT keratinocytes.
