Three new troglobiontic species of the spider genus Cybaeodes Simon endemic to caves in the southeastern Iberian Peninsula are described and illustrated: Cybaeodes indalo sp. n. from Almería, C. dosaguas sp. n. from València and C. magnus sp. n. from Alacant. The new species confirm the presence of Cybaeodes on the Iberian Peninsula and its wide distribution throughout the Western Mediterranean including Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, France, Spain and the islands of Sardinia, Sicily and Mallorca. A record of C. liocraninus (Simon), from an Iberian cave was probably based on misidentified specimens of C. magnus sp. n. C. liocraninus is known only from Algeria and should be removed from lists of the Iberian fauna. In addition, the three new species are clear candidates for protection: they have highly restricted ranges and show a high degree of adaptation to the subterranean environment.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) is a major viral pathogen affecting swine worldwide, causing significant economic losses through its association with porcine circovirus-associated diseases (PCVD), which can lead to reproductive failure, growth retardation, and increased mortality in affected herds. Although vaccination against the PCV2a and PCV2b genotypes has reduced clinical disease, the PCV2d genotype is increasingly prevalent in many regions. Molecular detection was performed on fecal samples from collected from a slaughterhouse using PCR targeting the ORF2 gene to detect PCV2 genotypes.

Glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine] (GlyP) is an herbicide extensively used worldwide, including the Iberian Peninsula. It is mainly used in agricultural landscapes but also in urban areas, in railways, and even in water bodies. Despite glyphosate's large use, there is a paucity of research on its exposure and its potential effects on wildlife living treated environments.

The International Transport Forum projected that global demand for transport could triple by 2050, with shipping demand likely increasing even more rapidly. However, most scenarios for the next 20-30 years suggest that current regulatory policies may be insufficient to offset the rise in traffic. Thus, this study evaluates the impacts of shipping emissions on air quality, health, and external costs in the Iberian Peninsula, analysing past (2017), current (2022), and projected future (2050) scenarios.

Recent efforts have compiled distribution data on peatlands in the Iberian Peninsula. However, the criteria used to define these ecosystems have often been derived from regions where climates are wetter and peatlands are more widespread. As a result, in this region, many peat-accumulating wetlands were overlooked.

The Yucatán Black Hairless Pig (YBHP) is a native Mexican breed with cultural and agricultural importance in the Yucatán Peninsula. This study explored the genetic diversity and population structure of YBHP using a genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) from the porcine GGP 50K chip, comparing it with native and cosmopolitan breeds worldwide. Genetic diversity analyses revealed an observed heterozygosity (HO) of 0.
