Commercial bleached softwood kraft pulp was mechanically fibrillated by a PFI-mill with beating revolution from 5000 to 30,000 r. The extent of fibrillating on the pulp was evaluated by beating degree, fiber morphological properties (fiber length, width, coarseness and curls index), water retention value (WRV) and physical properties of paper made from the pulp. Depth beating process significantly affected the pulp fibrillations as showed by the decreased fiber length and width as well as the SEM analysis, but the effects were limited after beating revolution of 15,000. Depth beating process also improved the total internal pore and inter-fibril surface areas as shown by the increased WRV values. Substrate enzymatic digestibility (SED) of beaten pulp at 5000 revolutions could reach 95% at cellulase loading of 15 FPU/g of glucan. After the enzymatic hydrolysis, the size of the pulp residues was reduced to micro-scale, and a relative uniform size distribution of the residues appeared at 10,000 r beating revolution.

Despite continued advancements in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) techniques, the incidence of permanent pacemaker implantation (PPI) remains substantial. Established predictors of PPI include advanced age, pre-existing electrocardiographic conduction abnormalities, prosthetic valve type, implantation depth, and anatomical parameters, such as membranous septum length, which are currently under active investigation. In routine clinical practice, the management strategy often involves the temporary placement of a transvenous pacemaker lead, followed by a period of observation.

Oxytocin as well as carbetocin, a synthetic analog of oxytocin with a longer duration of action, can affect the cardiovascular system, which can be recorded in electrocardiographic Holter recordings. The choice of the appropriate dose of oxytocin or carbetocin should take into account potential cardiovascular effects. As wearable devices and mobile monitoring technologies become widespread, ECG data are trending toward diversity and long-term collection, making traditional manual annotation methods inadequate for massive data analysis demands. This research addresses core challenges in ECG signal classification-extremely imbalanced data, significant individual physiological differences, and difficulties in long sequence fitting-by proposing a Principal Component Analysis-based Conditional Generative Adversarial Network (PCA-CGAN).

Background: Virtual reality (VR) has emerged as a promising, low-risk strategy to manage many forms of psychological stress and may be a modality to improve cardiovascular health. Recent scientific statements on the mind-heart-body connection call for better adherence to psychological screening and adoption of more holistic "behavioral cardiology" interventions that improve the overall health of patients with or at risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Objective: The aim of this study is to assess safety and preliminarily explore how a VR experience can aid in stress reduction among patients with or at risk for CVD.
