We describe a technique of pars plicata manual posterior capsulorhexis performed after implantation of an intraocular lens (IOL) in pediatric cataract surgery. The technique can be used to create a posterior capsulectomy of a desirable size in a controlled manner to avoid destabilization of the IOL. It can be applied selectively in cases of pediatric cataract surgery.

To describe a case series of patients who experienced hemorrhagic complications following intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) injections. In a small case series of 3 patients with retinal disorders, imaging with ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) was performed within 1 day following anti-VEGF injection. The first patient had a mild vitreous hemorrhage, and UBM demonstrated a suspected needle track through the pars plana; the hemorrhage cleared spontaneously.

Introduction: Persistent fetal vasculature (PFV) is a congenital anomaly associated with significant surgical challenges, including a high risk of postoperative retinal detachment (RD). This study aimed to evaluate the impact of surgical approach and axial length (AL) on RD risk and visual outcomes in pediatric PFV management.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted involving 76 eyes of 74 patients who underwent cataract surgery for PFV between 2014 and 2022.

Purpose: To describe an alternate surgical technique for fluocinolone acetonide (Retisert) implantation in patients with extensive pars plana and pars plicata fibrosis secondary to chronic non-infectious uveitis.
Methods: This retrospective, interventional case series included five eyes of four patients who had poorly controlled chronic non-infectious uveitis. Retisert was implanted successfully using a novel approach.

Background: Ciliary body tumor is extremely rare and treatment is challenging. The aim of this study is to present our experience in treating this rare entity, especially large tumors with more than 5 clock hours of involvement, and to evaluate the surgical outcomes and complications of local resection via partial lamellar sclerouvectomy in four cases of ciliary body tumors in China.
Methods: Four patients with ciliary body tumors underwent partial lamellar sclerouvectomy between October 2019 and April 2023 in Shanghai General Hospital, China.
