A scanning dynamically focusing sagittal X-ray monochromator accepting 3 mrad x 0.1 mrad from a 6 T wiggler has been designed for XAFS measurements. In the energy range 4.1-12.4 keV, the slope error of the second cylindrical crystal caused by anticlastic bending must be less than 1/5 of the Darwin width of the crystal or the photon flux will decrease drastically. Two methods to minimize the anticlastic bending are proposed. Thin crystals with stiffening ribs and thin crystals with an aspect ratio equal to the ;golden value' are evaluated by finite-element analysis and by long-trace-profiler characterization. Both approaches are satisfactory, but the ;golden value' approach is preferred in this case for the second crystal of the new monochromator not only because it is easy to manufacture but also because the surface is smoother than the ribbed crystal.

Background: Digital media frequently contains positive portrayals of alcohol content, which has been shown to be associated with alcohol-related cognitions and behaviors. Because youth are heavy media consumers and have access to unsupervised, repeat viewing of media content on their personal mobile devices, it is critical to understand the frequency of encountering alcohol content in adolescents' daily lives and how adolescents engage with the content.
Objective: This paper outlines the study protocol for examining adolescents' exposure to alcohol-related content in digital media within their natural environments.

Objectives: Previous studies failed to find age-related differences in the discounting of delayed, monetary losses, potentially due to their failure to examine the effects of income and their use of relatively small loss amounts. Accordingly, the present study examined the effects of age and income on the degree to which adults discount a broad range of loss amounts.
Methods: 594 participants (age range: 20 to 80; income range: <$30,000 to >$100,000) performed an adjusting-amount discounting task.

Objective: To explore healthcare professionals' perceptions on the implementation of home hemodialysis and self-assisted hemodialysis in Singapore and to identify the perceived barriers, facilitators, and actionable strategies for increasing uptake.
Methods: This is a qualitative explorative study based on semi-structured face-to-face interviews conducted with a multidisciplinary group of 12 healthcare professionals at an acute teaching hospital in Singapore. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis.

Introduction: This post hoc analysis of an A Toujeo Observational Study (ATOS) aims to evaluate the real-world effectiveness and safety of insulin glargine 300 U/ml (Gla-300) in high-risk subgroups of insulin-naïve people with type 2 diabetes (PwT2D) from multiple geographical regions (Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe).
Methods: In these post hoc analyses of ATOS, a real-world, 12-month, prospective study included 4422 insulin-naïve adults (age ≥ 18 years) with type 2 diabetes (T2D) uncontrolled (HbA > 7% and ≤ 11%) on one or more oral antidiabetic drugs (OADs) who initiated Gla-300 treatment as per routine practice. Primary and secondary endpoints were studied according to renal impairment (RI) status (without or with) and age group (≥ 70 years).

Catastrophic climate events such as floods significantly impact infrastructure, agriculture, and the economy. The lower Gandak River basin in India is particularly flood-prone, with Bihar experiencing annual losses of life and property due to massive flooding. Identifying flood-prone zones in this region is essential.
