This correspondence studies the stabilization problem of large-scale Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems. A novel stabilization criterion with decentralized parallel distributed compensation (PDC) fuzzy controller is proposed. The criterion contains two inequalities and one negative definite matrix to be satisfied. The effects of all interconnection terms and all decentralized PDC gains are entirely included in the negative definite matrix. The size of the matrix depends on the number of subsystems; the more the number of subsystems is, the larger the size of the matrix is. By using the linear matrix inequality method, the inequalities in the criterion can be solved to synthesize the local feedback gain of each PDC fuzzy controller such that the whole closed-loop large-scale fuzzy system is asymptotically stable. Finally, we give a practical example to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed criterion.

Background: PPM1D (protein phosphatase Mg⁺/Mn⁺ dependent 1D) is a Ser/Thr phosphatase that negatively regulates p53 and functions as an oncogenic driver. Its gene amplification and overexpression are frequently observed in various malignancies and disruption of PPM1D degradation has also been reported as a cause of cancer progression. This review highlights the integration of drug repurposing and nanotechnology-driven delivery strategies as innovative approaches to enhance the antifungal activity of statins against mucosal candidiasis, providing a framework for future translational research and clinical application. The rising prevalence of antifungal resistance and virulence factors of Candida albicans underscore the limitations of current therapies. Statins, commonly used as lipid-lowering agents, have emerged as attractive repurposed drug candidates due to their ability to interfere with fungal ergosterol biosynthesis and Ras-mediated signaling pathways.

A novel telemonitoring system utilizing contactless sensor technologies combined with automated overnight respiratory stability time (RST) analysis has emerged as a sensitive and specific indicator of worsening heart failure (HF), enabling early clinical exacerbation identification. However, the correlation between the RST trajectory and other clinical parameters, as well as targeted therapeutic strategies for improving RST in patients experiencing acute decompensated HF, remains unclear. Herein, we present two cases of hospitalized patients with HF and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, which were successfully managed through clinical interventions monitored by integrated RST parameters.

Parvalbumin (PV), a thermostable and digestion-resistant fish allergen, has been shown to retain its allergenic potential following traditional treatments, thus posing a persistent allergic risk. The study investigated the digestive kinetics and IgE immunoreactivity of Trachinotus ovatus PV, a major fish allergen, under different treatments (untreated; DPCD treatment-15 MPa, 30 min, 50 °C; heat treatment), to evaluate its allergenic potential alterations. The analysis was conducted using a combination of techniques to assess the proteolytic stability and IgE-binding capacity of PV, including Tris-Tricine-SDS-PAGE, Western blot (WB), indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and free amino group quantification.
