This article presents a comprehensive literature review on the role of the Notch signaling pathway in cancer and its molecular mechanisms. The Notch signaling pathway plays an important role in various types of cancer by regulating key biological processes such as epithelial-endothelial transition, angiogenesis, apoptosis and metabolic reprogramming. This article reviews the relevant mechanisms of the Notch signaling pathway in colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, oral squamous cell carcinoma, gastric cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, highlighting its dual roles in promoting tumor growth, inhibiting tumor progression and potential therapeutic applications in oncology.

This article systematically reviews the interactions between the Notch pathway and ncRNAs including miRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs, as well as their overall impact on cancer biology. We focus on the latest research progress on how ncRNAs regulate the Notch pathway through transcriptional regulation, post-transcriptional modifications, and epigenetic mechanisms, and discuss how such interactions affect tumor microenvironment shaping, immune escape mechanisms, and treatment sensitivity.

With the escalating aging of the global population, the societal burden of this disease is increasing. Although drugs are available for the treatment of AD, their efficacy is limited and there remains no effective cure.

Traditional treatment methods for DSWI include complete debridement, vacuum sealing drainage wound therapy and sometimes transposition of muscle flap. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of antibiotic-loaded bone cement combined with vacuum sealing drainage on DSWI and explore the effect of this treatment on lung function.

Here we first present a case of a patient successfully treated for antibiotic-loaded bone cement (ALBC) combined with vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) of DSWI.
Case Presentation: This case report presented a patient who underwent open heart surgery, and suffered postoperatively from a DSWI associated with enterococcus cloacae.
This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effect of glycyrrhizic acid (GA) on the cerebral vasospasm (CVS) in a rat subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) model and to explore the potential mechanism. A total of 44 healthy male rats were randomly assigned into 3 groups: control group (n = 12), SAH group (n = 16) and GA group (n = 16). No treatment was conducted in control group; in SAH group and GA group, experimental CVS was induced using a double-hemorrhage model and then rats were intraperitoneally injected with normal saline and GA at 10 mg/kg, respectively, once daily.

Background: Administration of androgens decreases plasma concentrations of high-density lipid cholesterol (HDL-C). However, the mechanisms by which androgens mediate lipid metabolism remain unknown. This present study used HepG2 cell cultures and ovariectomized C57BL/6 J mice to determine whether apolipoprotein M (ApoM), a constituent of HDL, was affected by dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

An autonomous robot system that is able to provide real time health monitoring and simple medical services is realized in this design. The system applies multiple sensors to monitor ordinary healthcare parameters, which is then transmitted via ZigBee network. In case of emergency, real time medicine delivery service is provided by the robot, applying a novel Received Signal Strength (RSS) based location method in ZigBee network.
