We previously found a panel of autoantibodies against multiple tumor-associated antigens (BMI-1, HSP70, MMP-7, NY-ESO-1, p53 and PRDX6) that might facilitate early detection of esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Here we aimed at assessing the diagnostic performance of these autoantibodies in breast cancer patients. Previous studies only focused on different adverse reactions caused by various platinum drugs, but not on common immunotoxicity caused by the accumulation of elemental platinum. Here, we determined the serum platinum concentrations of cancer patients after a metabolism period of platinum drug chemotherapy, in addition to hematological indices and subsequent immune-related adverse reactions, then analyzed the correlations between platinum accumulation, immune cell levels, and immune-toxicity. We chose the day before the next round of chemotherapy as the specified time point for blood sampling.

Objective: The aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of Chinese herbal medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)-based psychotherapy (TBP) on perimenopausal depression (PMD).

Methods: This multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted in nine hospitals in China between August 2015 and June 2017. The study included 307 women with PMD who were divided randomly into two treatment groups: the Bushen Tiaogan formula (BSTG) plus TBP (n = 156) and placebo plus TBP (n = 151).

A Randomized, Controlled Clinical Trial of Combining Therapy with Traditional Chinese Medicine-Based Psychotherapy and Chinese Herbal Medicine for Menopausal Women with Moderate to Serious Mood Disorder.

Objective: To comparatively examine the effectiveness and safety of the combination therapy of traditional Chinese medicine formula Bushen-Shugan granule and psychotherapy (BSSG-P) and Chinese herbal medicine Bushen-Shugan granule (BSSG) alone in the treatment of moderate to serious mood disorder in menopausal women.

Methods: In our previous clinical studies, BSSG-P had been proved to be superior to BSSG, psychological treatment, and placebo in improving mild mood disorder in menopausal women. In this study, we analyzed the efficacy of BSSG-P and BSSG in the treatment of moderate to serious mood disorder.

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of Chinese herbal medicine capsules for the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency.

Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the treatment effectiveness of Chinese herbal medicine capsules containing the Yangyin Shugan formula (YYSG) in premature ovarian insufficiency (POI).

Methods: One-hundred forty-six women with POI participated in this stratified, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Participants in two groups (n = 73 in each)-the YYSG group and control group-underwent treatment for 12 weeks.

Effect of combining therapy with traditional chinese medicine-based psychotherapy and herbal medicines in women with menopausal syndrome: a randomized controlled clinical trial.

This multicenter, randomized, controlled clinical study was designed to address the effectiveness of combined traditional-Chinese-medicine- (TCM-) based psychotherapy and Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) in the treatment of menopausal syndrome. Altogether 424 eligible women diagnosed as menopausal syndrome and categorized as Kidney-Yin/Kidney-Yang deficiency pattern in TCM were randomly assigned into 4 groups and accepted TCM-based psychotherapy (PSY), CHM, PSY + CHM, or placebo therapies, respectively, for 12 weeks, and another 12 weeks were taken as the followup. Kupperman Index (KI) and the Menopause-Specific Quality of Life (MENQOL) with its four subscales (vasomotor, physical, psychosocial, and sexual) were employed for efficacy assessment.

Abdominal acupuncture for insomnia in women: a randomized controlled clinical trial.

A randomized single-blind trial was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of short-term abdominal acupuncture as a novel treatment for insomnia in Chinese women. Forty-four patients between the ages of 22 and 56 were randomly assigned to an acupuncture (n = 23) and a medication group (n = 21). The acupuncture group received abdominal acupuncture once a day for the first three days and once every three days for the remaining 11 days.
