The increasing demand for green hydrogen is driving the development of efficient and durable electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Nickel-molybdenum (NiMo) alloys are among the best HER electrocatalysts in alkaline electrolytes, and here we report a scalable solution precursor plasma spraying (SPPS) process to produce the highly active NiMo electrocatalysts directly onto metallic substrates. The NiMo coating coated onto inexpensive Ni mesh revealed an excellent HER performance with an overpotential of only 26 mV at -10 mA cm with a Tafel slope of 55 mV dec.

Oxygenated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (OPAHs) are a class of polycyclic aromatic derivatives with oxygen-containing functional groups that induce oxidative stress and mutations. However, studies of the carcinogenic and metabolic effects of OPAHs are limited. In this study, we analyzed the carcinogenic effects of four different OPAHs and found that 9-fluorenone (FLO), 9,10-anthraquinone (AQ), and 7,12-benz(a)anthraquinone (BAQ) promoted cell invasion and metastasis via epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and induced endothelial cell angiogenesis by affecting the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), angiopoietin (ANG), and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), whereas 1,8-naphthalic anhydride (NAD) did not show significant carcinogenic effects.

Foam-like NiMo coatings were produced from an inexpensive mixture of Ni, Al, and Mo powders atmospheric plasma spraying. The coatings were deposited onto stainless-steel meshes forming a highly porous network mainly composed of nanostructured Ni and highly active NiMo. High material loading (200 mg cm) with large surface area (1769 cm per cm) was achieved without compromising the foam-like characteristics.

Ischemic neuronal injury results from a complex series of pathophysiological events, including oxidative, excitotoxicity, inflammation and nitrative stress. Purpose: To reconstruct the three-dimensional safe triangle areas at L1-5 based on the computed tomography digital data, analyze the safe scopes for the puncture location and angles, and provide anatomic references for percutaneous lumbar discectomy.

Methods: Computed tomography data from patients and control group were imported from the database and anatomical reference parameters were measured in Mimics software. The rebuilt model was rotated clockwise along the M-axis to measure the inscribed circle radius of the safe triangle at different angles.
