Copious expression of protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) is associated with poor survival in many types of cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia. We observed that a specific acute megakaryocytic leukemia (AMKL) cell line (6133) derived from RBM15-MKL1 knock-in mice exhibited heterogeneity in Prmt1 expression levels. Interestingly, only a subpopulation of 6133 cells expressing high levels of Prmt1 caused leukemia when transplanted into congenic mice.

The effective utilization of immature oocytes holds promise for improving conception rates in women with low ovarian reserve. The oocyte microenvironment, comprising the extracellular matrix and intercellular communication with somatic cells, is crucial for supporting oocyte maturation. This study hypothesizes that a three-dimensional (3D) culture system, constructed with hydrogels modified by laminin-mimetic peptides-a major component of the extracellular matrix-and granulosa cells (GCs) from mature mouse oocytes, can replicate the biomechanical microenvironment required for oocyte maturation, thereby promoting the development of immature mouse oocytes.

Studies have shown that sodium aescinate (SA) may serve as a potential therapeutic agent, although its exact mechanism remains unclear. This study first evaluated the efficacy of SA using a mouse renal ischemia-reperfusion model.

However, the causative role of these mutations and the mechanisms underlying THC2 are not fully established. Here, we report, for the first time, that zebrafish carrying a deletion of two nucleotides (Δ2) in the 5'-UTR of ankrd26 recapitulate some of the key laboratory features of THC2.

Background: ADAMTS13 (a disintegrin and metalloprotease with thrombospondin type 1 repeats, 13), primarily synthesized in hepatic stellate and endothelial cells, plays a pivotal role in regulation of hemostasis by proteolytic cleavage of von Willebrand factor. Severe deficiency of plasma ADAMTS13 activity may result in thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a potentially fatal blood disorder. ADAMTS13 undergoes posttranslational modifications including glycosylation, citrullination, oxidation.

This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic potential of total saponins from Panax notoginseng (PNS) in the context of RIRI. Utilizing a murine RIRI model, the efficacy of PNS was evaluated, demonstrating a significant reduction in renal inflammation and cellular pyroptosis.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common primary malignancy of the liver and has a high mortality. Major facilitator superfamily domain containing 2 (MFSD2A) was previously demonstrated to inhibit tumor progression in several cancers. Here, we elucidated the association between MFSD2A expression and HCC progression and also investigated the underlying mechanism.

Background: Embryonic ploidy is critical for the success of embryo transfer. Currently, preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) is the gold standard for detecting ploidy abnormalities. However, PGT-A has several inherent limitations, including invasive biopsy, high economic burden, and ethical constraints.

The present study aimed to assess the role of PSP in the treatment of human prostate cancer using a PC-3 cell line by Cell CK-8, transwell and wound healing assays, then elucidate the potential underlying mechanisms by western blot and quantitative Real-time RT-PCR. Different concentrations of PSP were applied to PC-3 cells, and the proliferation, invasion and migration of PC-3 cells were demonstrated to be significantly inhibited with increasing concentrations of PSP.

The theoretical model of the coherence of the white-noise-current-modulated external cavity laser (WECL) is established, which details the spectrum broadening mechanism and the coherence sidelobe suppression. At the noise current modulation, the coherence sidelobe induced by the internal cavity is lowered by the external cavity feedback, and the position of the coherence sidelobe induced by the external cavity is controlled with the cavity length, which can extend the coherence range without the sidelobes.

The viscosity and viscoelasticity of polyelectrolyte solutions with a single electrostatic interaction have been carefully studied experimentally and theoretically. Despite some theoretical models describe experimental results well, the influence of multiple interactions (electrostatic and hydrophobic) on rheological scaling is not yet fully resolved. Herein, we systematically study the microstructures and rheological properties of short-side-chain perfluorosulfonic acid (S-PFSA), the most promising candidate of a proton exchange membrane composed of a hydrophobic backbone with hydrophilic side-chains, in water/2-propanol.

Introduction: The axillary lymph node status (ALNS) and internal mammary lymph nodes (IMLN) expression associated with breast cancer are closely linked to prognosis. This study aimed to establish a nomogram to predict survival at 3, 5, and 10 years in patients with various lymph node statuses.
Methods: We obtained data from patients with breast cancer between 2004 and 2015 from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER database).
Background: Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) have been demonstrated to have significant roles in the carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this work, we sought to determine LncRNA SH3BP5-AS1's function and mechanism in the emergence of HCC.
Results: First, we discovered that the advanced tumor stage was strongly correlated with high levels of LncRNA SH3BP5-AS1 expression in HCC.
Glutamine synthetase (GS) is vital in maintaining ammonia and glutamate (Glu) homeostasis in living organisms. However, the natural enzyme relies on adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to activate Glu, resulting in impaired GS function during ATP-deficient neurotoxic events. To date, no reports demonstrate using artificial nanostructures to mimic GS function.

In challenging environments, feature-based visual SLAM encounters frequent failures in frame tracking, introducing unknown poses to robotic applications. This paper introduces an immediate approach for recovering untracked camera poses. Through the retrieval of key information from elapsed untracked frames, lost poses are efficiently restored with a short time consumption.
