ConspectusAlkynes are one of the most fundamental functional groups in organic synthesis due to the versatile chemistry of the triple bond, their unique rigid structure, and their use in bioconjugation. The introduction of alkynes onto organic molecules traditionally relies on nucleophilic activation, often requiring strong bases or metal catalysts. These conditions, however, restrict applications involving biomolecules such as peptides and proteins due to functional group incompatibility.

Estimating the content of soil organic carbon (SOC) in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, studying its spatial distribution characteristics, and clarifying the main influencing factors of SOC are of great significance for improving grassland quality, optimizing management, regulating climate, and maintaining ecosystem functions. Taking the grassland in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province as the research object, multi-feature factor data were constructed by integrating data such as soil properties, meteorological factors, elevation, and vegetation index, and 24 significant feature factors were screened out using Pearson correlation analysis. Then, the normalized contribution degree was obtained according to the SHAP value.

The quantum geometry, comprising Berry curvature and quantum metric, plays a fundamental role in governing electron transport phenomena in solids. Recent studies show that the quantum metric dipole drives scattering-free nonlinear Hall effect in topological antiferromagnets, prompting the questions of whether this effect can occur in nonmagnetic systems and be externally tuned by a magnetic field. Our work addresses these frontiers by demonstrating that the quantum metric dipole is actively tuned by an external magnetic field to generate a time-reversal-odd nonlinear Hall response in a nonmagnetic topological Dirac semimetal Cd_{3}As_{2}.

Since their discovery in 2012, carbazolyl (iso)phthalonitrile (Cz(I)PN) derivatives have found significant applications as photocatalysts (PCs) in organic chemistry. Herein, we introduce two efficient methods for incorporating carbazolyl cyanobenzenes into various peptide sequences. The first method involves a photomediated decarboxylative functionalization of the C-terminus of peptides, leading to the formation of various carbazolyl benzonitrile (CzBN) derivatives.

In this study, four SNMP genes were identified for the white-backed planthopper (; WBPH), a major pest of rice plants. Tissue-specific transcriptomic data indicated that all four are not only expressed in the antennae to varying levels but also observed in several non-olfactory tissues.

Psoriasis is a chronic disease with elusive pathogenesis linked to genetic, and immune factors. Studies have shown most patients have experienced high levels of oxidative stress, which can lead to inflammation or damage. Withaferin A is a natural product with multiple pharmacological activities, including anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects.

Yet the limited microbial resources were reported to simultaneously detoxify PAHs, Cr(VI) and As(III), which restricts the bioremediation of co-contaminated soil by PAHs, Cr and As. Here, we isolated Altererythrobacter sp.

In addition to its well-documented role in tobacco dependence, previous studies have suggested that nicotine also has diverse pharmacological properties. These include alleviating symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease, potentially reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease, mitigating oxidative stress, as well as anti-inflammatory and anxiolytic effects.

The quantum geometric properties of topological materials underpin many exotic physical phenomena and applications. Quantum nonlinearity has emerged as a powerful probe for revealing these properties. The Berry curvature dipole in nonmagnetic materials and the quantum metric dipole in antiferromagnets have been explored by studying the second-order nonlinear Hall effect.

Immune cells and interleukins play a crucial role in female-specific pain signaling. Interleukin 16 (IL-16) is a cytokine primarily associated with CD4 T cell function. While previous studies have demonstrated the important role of spinal CD4 T cells in neuropathic pain, the specific contribution of IL-16 to neuropathic pain remains unclear.

Efferocytosis is a crucial process whereby phagocytes engulf and eliminate apoptotic cells (ACs). This intricate process can be categorized into four steps: (1) ACs release "find me" signals to attract phagocytes, (2) phagocytosis is directed by "eat me" signals emitted by ACs, (3) phagocytes engulf and internalize ACs, and (4) degradation of ACs occurs. Maintaining immune homeostasis heavily relies on the efficient clearance of ACs, which eliminates self-antigens and facilitates the generation of anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive signals that maintain immune tolerance.

Ethynylbenziodoxol(on)es (EB(X)xs) reagents have emerged as useful reagents for peptide/protein modification due to their versatile reactivity and high selectivity. Herein, we report the successful introduction of ethynylbenziodoxoles (EBxs) on different amino acid building blocks (Lys/Orn/Dap), and show their compatibility with both solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and solution phase peptide synthesis (SPS). The selective incorporation of the EBx core into peptide sequences enable efficient macrocyclizations under mild conditions for the synthesis of topologically unique cyclic and bicyclic peptides.

In order to solve the problems that existing theoretical method cannot calculate windward area of irregular fragment and experiment method is not convenient for automatic calculation and has low accuracy, a Monte Carlo subdivision projection simulation algorithm is proposed. The average windward area of arbitrary shaped fragments can be obtained with coordinate translation, random rotation, plane projection, convex-hull triangulation, concave boundary searching and sorting with maximum edge length constraint, subdivision area calculation, and averaging by thousands of cycles.

We reveal the gate-tunable Berry curvature dipole polarizability in Dirac semimetal Cd_{3}As_{2} nanoplates through measurements of the third-order nonlinear Hall effect. Under an applied electric field, the Berry curvature exhibits an asymmetric distribution, forming a field-induced Berry curvature dipole, resulting in a measurable third-order Hall voltage with a cubic relationship to the longitudinal electric field. Notably, the magnitude and polarity of this third-order nonlinear Hall effect can be effectively modulated by gate voltages.
