Unlabelled: This study explored the associations between triglyceride glucose (TyG), TyG with body mass index (TyG-BMI), triglyceride-to-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio, and metabolic score for insulin resistance (METS-IR) and the effects of dietary acid-base load in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Methods: A total of 288 patients with CKD were included in this study. Four non-insulin-based insulin resistance (IR) markers were used to assess IR levels in patients with CKD; dietary intake - 24-h dietary recall; and diet-based acidity - potential renal acid load (PRAL), net endogenous acid production (NEAP), and dietary acid load (DAL).

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of dietary acid-base load on patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Design: A total of 300 patients with CKD were enrolled and divided into three groups according to DAL tertiles. Dietary intake was assessed using a 24-h dietary recall, and diet-based acidity was assessed using net endogenous acid production (NEAP), potential renal acid load (PRAL), and dietary acid load (DAL).

The relationship between dietary flavonoid intake and mortality in the diabetic kidney disease (DKD) population is unknown. So this study is aimed at investigating the association of total dietary flavonoid intake and their subclasses with all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality. Data of this cohort study were extracted from the NHANES (2007-2010 and 2017-2018).

Background: Sodium/glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) are associated with cardiovascular benefits. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to summarize the influence of SGLT2i on the incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI), and to ascertain whether it is affected by confounding variables such as age, baseline renal function and concurrent use of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors (RAASi) or mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA).

Methods: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched for randomized controlled trials comparing the influence of SGLT2i versus placebo/blank treatment on AKI in the adult population.
