We recently demonstrated the therapeutic efficacy of a novel phosphodiesterase 4B (PDE4B) inhibitor, KVA-D88, loaded in mPEG--P(CB--LA) polymeric nanoparticles (NPs) for alcohol-associated liver disease (AALD) treatment. In this study, we investigated the pharmacokinetics (PK) parameters and biodistribution at whole body and organ (liver) levels of this nanoformulation compared to the KVA-D88 free drug as well as their in vivo efficacies. Following administration, KVA-D88 was distributed to all major organs, with the highest accumulation in the liver and kidney and the lowest accumulation in the brain when loaded into NPs, as quantified using LC-MS/MS after a single intravenous injection in a mouse model with AALD induced by Lieber-DeCarli.

In the present study, 21 and 38 MAGL genes were identified in Glycine max (cultivated soybean) and Glycine soja (wild) genomes, respectively. Gene-specific association performed using whole genome resequencing data by mixed linear model showed a significant association with total seed oil, linolenic, and oleic acid content.

In recent years, several plastic-degrading enzymes with efficient depolymerization abilities for PET have been reported. Here, we report a bioprocess for mixed PET waste depolymerization using crude extracellularly expressed enzymes in . The enzymes, namely FastPETase, LCC, and LCC, were screened to depolymerize amorphous PET powder and films of different sizes and crystallinity.

In AA, hair follicles (HFs) serve as both pathological targets and potential drug delivery sites when treated with optimized topical formulations. This study investigates the follicular targeting efficiency of clobetasol-17-propionate (CP) nanocrystal (CP-NC) suspension, a nanoformulation designed to enhance the efficacy of conventional CP therapies by improving kinetic solubility and creating a steep concentration gradient that promotes passive dermal penetration.

Despite the identification of TIPs in numerous plant species, very less is known about the precise role of different TIP subgroups. In the present study, two genes belonging to the TIP3 subgroup were studied to understand tissue-specific role and solute transport activity.

Introduction: Conservation agriculture (CA) is emerging as an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to food production in South Asia. CA, characterized by reduced tillage, soil surface cover through retaining crop residue or raising cover crops, and crop diversification, enhances crop production and soil fertility. Fungal communities in the soil play a crucial role in nutrient recycling, crop growth, and agro-ecosystem stability, particularly in agricultural crop fields.

Antioxidants play a pivotal role in maintaining skin health and integrity, combating the deleterious effects of oxidative stress induced by environmental aggressors such as UV ra-diation, pollution, and lifestyle factors. This paper reviews the contributions of key antioxidants, including Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, green tea extract, Coenzyme Q10, Resveratrol, Selenium, and Polyphenols, in skin health care. Vitamin C, known for its collagen synthesis promotion and photoprotection properties, alongside Vitamin E, a lipid-soluble antioxidant, syn-ergistically works to neutralize free radicals and repair damaged skin cells.
