C-reactive protein (CRP) is a critical biomarker for inflammation and postoperative recovery monitoring. Organic electrochemical transistor (OECT) plays a key role in CRP detection, however, with a limited sensitivity in physiological environment due to inefficient charge transfer within the Debye length. Here, we introduce rosuvastatin (RSV) drug as a novel recognition element for CRP detection in OECT biosensors.

Lateral intercalation-assisted ionic transport towards high-performance organic electrochemical transistor.

Efficiently mixed conduction between ionic and electronic charges stands to revolutionize the studies in organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs). However, inefficient ion transport due to the long-range injection and migration process in the bulk film presents challenges for enhancing the steady and transient performance of OECTs. In this work, we proposed a lateral intercalation-assisted ion transport strategy to assist volumetric ion charging, by introducing a striped microstructure in the conductive channel.

Self-Concept Clarity and Learning Engagement: The Sequence-Mediating Role of the Sense of Life Meaning and Future Orientation.

In this study, we systematically examined the effects of self-concept clarity on high school students' learning engagement and the mediating role of sense of life meaning and future orientation between self-concept clarity and learning engagement in order to provide guidance to enhance students' learning engagement. A total of 997 students from freshmen to seniors were selected for the study using a cluster random sampling method. The following tools were used: the Self-Concept Clarity Scale, the Learning Engagement Scale, the Sense of Life Meaning Scale, and the Future Orientation Questionnaire.

Gender differences in behavioral inhibitory control under evoked acute stress: An event-related potential study.

Purpose: This study investigated gender differences in behavioral inhibitory control among college students under acute stress state by using event-related potential technique.

Methods: Acute stress was evoked in 41 college students (22 males and 19 females) using the Trier Social Stress paradigm, and the neutral state was matched using out-of-speech reading, with subjects completing a two-choice Oddball task in each of the two states. In combination with the ERP technique, the area under the stress curve, reaction time, number of errors, and the difference waves between the two stimulus conditions in the frontal-central region N2 wave amplitude and the parietal-central region P3 wave amplitude were compared between the two groups of subjects in the stressful and neutral state.

Category characteristics of high school students' sense of hope and its relationship with mental health.

Purpose: This study used the latent profile analysis technique to investigate the latent categories of high school students' sense of hope and their relationship with mental health.

Methods: A total of 1,513 high school students from six middle schools in China was tested using the Adult Dispositional Hope Scale and the Symptom Checklist 90. Analysis of variance was used to explore the relationship between latent categories of sense of hope and mental health.

Meaning in life and adolescent self-control: Effect of perceived social support and its gender differences.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between meaning in life and adolescent self-control, as well as the role of perceived social support and gender in this pathway.

Methods: For this purpose, a total of 936 adolescents from two high schools were selected as subjects in this study. The Meaning in Life Scale, the Self-Control Scale, and the Perceived Social Support Scale were used for the research.

Evoked Acute Stress Alters Frontal Midline Neural Oscillations Affecting Behavioral Inhibition in College Students.

Purpose: The current research of the effect of acute stress on individual behavioral inhibition remains divergent. The present study aims to explore the effects of acute stress on behavioral inhibition in college students and to understand the neural oscillatory characteristics of their behavioral inhibition process.

A Unique P450 Peroxygenase System Facilitated by a Dual-Functional Small Molecule: Concept, Application, and Perspective.

Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) are promising versatile oxidative biocatalysts. However, the practical use of P450s in vitro is limited by their dependence on the co-enzyme NAD(P)H and the complex electron transport system. Using HO simplifies the catalytic cycle of P450s; however, most P450s are inactive in the presence of HO.

Body Mass Index and Academic Achievement Among Chinese Secondary School Students: The Mediating Effect of Inhibitory Control and the Moderating Effect of Social Support.

Based on Embodied Cognition Theory, Inhibitory Decline Theory, and Risk Protective Factors Model, this study verified that body mass index (BMI) affects secondary school students' academic performance through the mechanism of inhibitory control. In addition, it was verified that the strength of this mechanism depends on the teacher, parent, and peer support received by secondary school students. By using height and weight measurements, the classic stroop task, and the social support scale, 264 secondary school students in Shanxi Province, China, were surveyed and their academic performance was collected.
