Background: Carotid body tumors (CBTs) are rare paragangliomas with an incidence of 1-2 per 100,000 individuals. While surgical resection remains the standard treatment, postoperative recurrence poses a clinical challenge.
Case Presentation: We describe a 49-year-old female with recurrent CBT involving the jugular foramen, managed with IGRT (60 Gy/30 fractions) and 4 cycles of CVD chemotherapy.
This study reveals the core mechanism by which insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2) drives tumor progression and radiotherapy resistance in gastric cancer (GC) through mA-dependent regulation of hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF1α). Clinical analyses show that IGF2BP2 is significantly overexpressed in gastric cancer tissues, and its expression level is closely associated with tumor size and poor patient prognosis. Functional studies demonstrate that elevated expression of IGF2BP2 accelerates the transition of gastric cancer cells from the G1 phase to the G2/M phase of the cell cycle and markedly enhances cell proliferation and migration through anti-apoptotic effects.

Background: The incidence of malignant gastrointestinal (GI) tumors is increasing, and advancements in medical care have significantly improved patient survival rates. As a result, the number of cases involving multiple primary cancers (MPC) has also increased. The rarity of MPC and the absence of sensitive and specific diagnostic markers often lead to missed or incorrect diagnoses.

Background: The purpose of this study was to analyze position-specific morphological changes of the upper airway and to further assess the impact of these changes in difficult airway during intubation.
Methods: This observational comparative study included two groups (n = 20 patients/group): Group A had normal airway and Group B had difficult airway. Data obtained from two-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging were imported to Mimics V20.
Seven new species of the genus are described and illustrated from southern China. The new species Hou & Li, , Hou & Li, , Hou & Li, and Hou & Li, are characterized by inner ramus of uropod III half the length of outer ramus. Hou & Li, is characterized by inner ramus of uropod III 0.

This new genus is characterised by 4-dentate lacinia on left mandible, simple gnathopod I in both sexes, weakly chelate gnathopod II in male, simplidactylate pereopods and complex and lobed gills. Hou, closely resembles Hou, in gnathopod II merus and carpus protuberant on posterior margin; however, the former is distinguished from the latter by palp of maxilla I with two articles, coxal gills convoluted, and telson with nicks on surface.
