Cysteine (Cys) is a core biological thiol that regulates cellular redox homeostasis. Abnormal concentrations of Cys are closely related to tumorigenesis, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders, and are often used as biomarkers for cancer cells. Therefore, detecting and analyzing its levels in the microenvironment of cancer cells is important.

Herein, we designed a probe with benzothiazole (HBT) as the main fluorophore backbone, which realized the molecular "ESIPT + ICT" synergistic luminescence effect. An effective response to detect HO within 30 min was achieved by the probe HBT-B, with a detection limit of 1.

Herein, we investigated the protective effect of moderate mechanical stress on chondrocyte ferroptosis and further revealed the internal molecular mechanism. Intra-articular injection of sodium iodoacetate (MIA) was conducted to induce the rat model of OA in vivo, meanwhile, interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) was treated to chondrocytes to induce the OA cell model in vitro.

Although there emerge a substantial number of works about link protection or restoration in SDM-EONs mesh networks, the topic of survivability is dug deeper in this work. It is acknowledged that protection schemes based on ring covers bring the advantages of shorter restoration time and lower costs.

Thallium (Tl) pollution in agricultural areas can pose hidden danger to humans, as food consumption is the key exposure pathway of Tl. Owing to the extreme toxicity of Tl, removal of Tl from soil becomes necessary to minimize the Tl-related health effects. Phytoremediation is a cost-effective method to remove heavy metals from soil, but not all plants are appropriate for this purpose.
