Transfer RNAs (tRNAs) are subject to various chemical modifications that influence their stability or function. Adenosine to Inosine (A-to-I) editing in the tRNA anticodon at position A34 is an important modification that expands anticodon-codon recognition at the wobble position and is required for normal mRNA translation. The relevance of tRNA editing in cancer remains unexplored.

Introduction: Microplastics (MPs) and nanoplastics (NPs) are pervasive environmental contaminants with growing concerns about their ingestion through food and water sources. Although animal studies suggest adverse health effects, direct mechanistic evidence in human gastrointestinal (GI) systems remains limited. In vitro models using human GI cell lines and organoids offer a physiologically relevant platform for investigating the effects of MPs and NPs on human health.

Background: Hospital diagnostic imaging significantly contributes to healthcare's carbon emissions, with modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT), accounting for a disproportionate share of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. While clinical value remains paramount, sustainability must become part of imaging decision-making.

Objectives: Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is known for its portability, cost-effectiveness, and bedside efficiency, but its environmental impact remain underexplored.

During the twentieth century, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) was considered a disease of early industrialized regions in North America, Europe and Oceania. At the turn of the twenty-first century, IBD incidence increased in newly industrialized and emerging regions in Africa, Asia and Latin America, while the prevalence in early industrialized regions continued to grow steadily. Changes in the incidence and prevalence denote the evolution of IBD across four epidemiologic stages: stage 1 (emergence), characterized by low incidence and prevalence; stage 2 (acceleration in incidence), marked by rapidly rising incidence and low prevalence; and stage 3 (compounding prevalence), where the incidence decelerates, plateaus or declines while the prevalence steadily increases.

Aim Of The Study: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in Malaysia is a growing health concern, despite regular liver ultrasound and α-fetoprotein (AFP) surveillance. The GALAD model incorporates AFP, lens culinaris agglutinin- reactive α-fetoprotein (AFP-L3), protein induced by vitamin K antagonist-II (PIVKA-II), gender and age to predict the probability of HCC. Our objective was to evaluate the diagnostic ability of GALAD compared to AFP in HCC screening.

Introduction: Hospital readmissions often result from a combination of factors, including inadequate follow-up care, poor discharge planning, patient non-adherence, and social determinants of health (SDOH) that impact access to healthcare and follow-up resources, many of which are beyond provider control. Enhanced post-discharge strategies, including risk stratification, are essential. This study aims to develop and validate the Discharge Severity Index (DSI) to predict readmission risk and optimize resource allocation for effective follow-up care.
