Background: a confirmed vector of scrub typhus, was historically restricted to southeastern coastal China but has recently been detected in southwestern regions. Species distribution modeling was applied to predict its current and future potential distribution areas under multiple climate scenarios, identify high-priority surveillance areas, and determine key environmental drivers. The results may facilitate a transition from passive to proactive vector monitoring.

This study aimed to investigate the associations of blood cadmium levels with all-cause, cardiovascular disease (CVD), and cancer mortality and the mediating effects of oxidative stress and inflammation biomarkers in patients with diabetes and prediabetes.
Methods: In this prospective cohort study, we analyzed 17,687 adults with diabetes and prediabetes from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, 1999-2018).
In order to predict the global potential distribution range of Ixodes pacificus (I. pacificus) under different climate scenario models in the future, analyze the major climate factors affecting its distribution, and provide references for the transformation of passive vector surveillance into active vector surveillance, the maximum entropy model (MaxEnt) was used in this study to estimate the global potential distribution range of I. pacificus under historical climate scenarios and different future climate scenarios.

Long-term use of insecticides can cause mutations in the voltage-gated sodium channel (vgsc) gene of mosquitoes, but little is known about the current status and evolutionary origins of vgsc gene in different geographic populations. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the current status of vgsc genes in Cx.

However, the wide application of pyrethroids has facilitated the development of insecticide resistance, primarily via mutations in the voltage-gated sodium channel (VGSC) gene. This study aims to develop a novel strategy for detecting mutations in the VGSC gene in Ae.

Background: and are regarded to be representative plague vectors in the United States. The incidence of plague is rising globally, possibly due to climate change and environmental damage. Environmental factors such as temperature and precipitation have a significant impact on the temporal and spatial distribution of plague vectors.
